Review Time

Warning/Disclaimer: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/shooting/stabbing/kidnapping/child abuse/man on woman violence/breaking/impaling/disfigurement/melting/medical. Disclaimer that some points I will be making reference to basically the mixture of cultures. I don’t mean anything racial or racist about it; it is just the way that things were.

I have to team up with you: briefly; Anthony Fait [DMX: as everyone should know he is a rapper as well is an actor, so in one way or another he provides some of the vocals for this background music] is a leader of this criminal unit, but to get his most precious thing in the world back; his daughter Vanessa Fait [Paige Hurd:] his young daughter that as you will see is resourceful. He will have to work with Su Duncan [Jet Li:] he works for Taiwan, Central Security Bureau, Taiwanese Intelligence and it is his job to get these black diamonds back to Taiwan.

The framework and pacing of this 101 minutes film is solid good; it represents the early to thousands model of filmmaking with quick paced action with highly noticeable quick paced background music to match.

Action/Art/Comedy: there is a good mixture between three categories; like Duncan uses himself as the left on the outside of the building; as he is performing these falls from floor to floor but completely under his control as he uses his hands and obviously incredible physique and highly martial arts skills as it looks elegant and as this is an everyday occurrence the camera work to show this action captures everything beautifully as well, then we move on to this lots of fun and chaos cage fight sequence including Archie [Tom Arnold:] a comical black market handler that deals with anything and is quite knowledgeable or if he doesn't know he knows how to find out or get hold of it; putting a bigger bet Duncan to win even bigger than the first time and then much later on why not let's have a tank being driven by Archie and reloaded by Tommy [Anthony Anderson:] member of Anthony Fait's criminal unit; But all the action sequences in their own way are hard-hitting or/and quick.

Character developments and the performances: now before I begin I would like to say this one more time; in no way shape or form am I being racial or/and racist; it is just the way things are [and on a quick side note; yes I very much do miss the days where you could say whatever you liked within reason without potentially getting cancelled.] But I digress; we have the character developments of the basically African-Americans, Asian and Caucasians. As our lead partnership for this film is Anthony Fait and Duncan; they lead this cast very well indeed, our main Caucasian is Archie and whilst I am on the subject in this massive cage fight sequence; you will see briefly this guy with bleached white hair; cage fighter/ultimate fighter [Tito Ortiz:] he has done a little bit of the wrestling thing for TNA 2005-2013

This film receives: 6/10, this film is good; it is solidly entertaining as I have already made reference to if you like the aspect of two different world having to work together; this film will suit you down to the ground and there is this ongoing sequence as the credits appear; yes this film has some awards accredited to its name 6 Nominees that includes BET Awards 2003 BET Awards Best Actress Gabrielle Union [as Daria: another member of Anthony Fait's criminal unit] Shared with: Deliver Us from Eva and MTV Movie + TV Awards 2003 MTV Movie Award Best Fight Jet Li Versus the ultimate fighters.
