We will be fine, if
I can get these people to rubberstamp their approval: briefly; after this incident Dr. John Hammond
[Richard Attleborough:] is a wealthy individual that is the founder of InGen
that is trying to get his next creation off the ground by the name of Jurassic
Park, where they have brought dinosaurs back to life through science. But he
now needs the backing of Dr. Alan Grant [Sam Neill] and Dr. Ellie Sattler
[Laura Dern:] he is a paleontologist and she is a paleobotanist soil scientist,
they are working together on this dig site which is also being funded by Dr.
Hammond, which after a little bit of persuading like completely funding their
dig for the next three years; they accept. Meanwhile Donald Gennaro [Martin
Ferrero:] he is a lawyer that has been sent by the other investors and he
brings with him Dr. Ian Malcolm [Jeff Goldblum:] he is a chaotician and a
mathematician. I mean they are just going to be here for the weekend, I am sure
nothing will go wrong or what could go wrong?
Generally speaking: the framework and pacing of this 127 film is
at the beginning a little bit slow, but on reflection it uses the slow build-up
and then just doesn't look back after a certain point.
Comedy; Dr. Malcolm provides most of
the comedy, but it is delivered in such a way that if you don't understand
either the deliverance of sarcasm or sarcasm generally you may struggle to get
it, he does some comedy moments with Dr. Sattler for an example; I am
paraphrasing here; you are going to wash your hands before eating?
Art/Action; the art is very clear to
see as we get to experience these dinosaurs; which on their own merit still
look fantastically detailed, even if it is now 2023 [on a quick side note; I
went to go and see this film in a cinema with the person I watch some of this
content with, because of its 30th anniversary;] but I digress in their own
habitats and consequently and unfortunately what happens when a carnivore is
hungry. Like this iconic moment in the film industry history; in summary it is
raining and Ariana Richards and Joseph Mazzello [Lex and Tim Murphy:] the
grandkids of Dr. Hammond are in this vehicle with Gennaro to begin with,
but after hearing some of these tremors and we can see these tremors affecting
this plastic cup of water, but he makes a run for it at the first sign of
danger. Leaving these two children which Lex has turned on this torch, attracts
the attention of this T Rex, where eventually he is right next to this vehicle
as his eye is level with Lex which at this point she still has this torch on.
This T Rex attacks this vehicle from the top to begin with which it is just
this see-through roof element protecting the children underneath, basically he
absolutely destroys, turns this vehicle upside down to maximise its
destruction. But don't worry Dr. Grant and Dr. Malcolm just don't sit there in
the other vehicle in which earlier on in this sequence Dr. Grant in their
vehicle tells to turn off the torch. But back to present moments they get out
the flaires and set to work to do their individual parts to rescue the
children, where in one way or another individually the children's lives and Dr.
Grant live is a risk as this T Rex pushes this vehicle off the side where Dr.
Grant and Lex are hanging off this lead Lex is on the back/neck of Dr. Grant
accidentally choking him [based on she is afraid] with this vehicle heading
down just missing them with Tim inside is vehicle, we have this powerful raw by
this T Rex [I will leave this sequence here as there is a secondary part, which
is to go and rescue Tim.] The iconic moment is where we have these tremors and
this frightened/eye looking inside/being attracted by this torch light.
The character developments are good
character types, that are being performed by an excellent assembled cast;
individually they make their characters their very own to the point where these
characters are their performance and vice versa and just in case of future
reference I would strongly dislike to see a remake of this film, okay they
could do a prequel trilogy if they want to but you don't touch this film ever
and we even have a consistent character by the name of Ray Arnold [Samuel L.
Jackson:] he is the chief engineer of Jurassic Park.
This film receives: 10/10, this film is top-notch entertainment;
yes this film may be slow a bit at the beginning, but it is definitely one of
those films that you need to see once in your lifetime. This film also has
awards accredited to its name 44 Winners; that includes 3 Academy Awards;
