In-depth Predictions/Other elements for WWE Payback 2023 by AverageMansReviews

Just for a heads up: this Premium Live Event is very much either going to go one way or another for The Judgement Day, either success throughout this card including a successful cash in for Damian Priest to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion or more than likely the implosion of this faction with just Rhea Ripley retaining her WWE Women's World Championship with hopefully not a cash in for Priest, because if he does that he will lose, when he does cash it in I wanted to be some form of realism as in he has got a realistic chance of winning regardless if he does or not, because if he catches in here it would just continue the potential losing streak for this faction on this card which in essence would be a waste of this opportunity.

Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus [with Zoe Starks;] Steel Cage Match: my pick is Becky Lynch. I'm getting the feeling that this particular feud has stayed around longer than what it should have. But in fairness and balance, this is down to the WWE hierarchy and not everyone that is involved in this feud, but as we are here and now this match/match slot should be good.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Champ Seth Rollins; Singles Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship: my pick is Seth Rollins. Now if Rollins wasn't going through such a career high at the moment, I would say either outcome would be possible and for those quickwitted people out there yes, both are very much possible. But why would you want to upset the high that Rollins is on right now, so I can't see this championship going anywhere here, but hopefully they get given enough time to bring to the table everything that they know can bring to the table, because they should be an excellent match/match slot nonetheless

Raquel Rodriguez vs. The Judgement Day's Champ Rhea Ripley [with the NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio;] Singles Match for the WWE Women's World Championship: my pick is Rhea Ripley [with the NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio.] On one hand this is another occasion I can't see this championship going anywhere, but on the other hand and let's be positive here also this match/match slot should also be good.

Austin Theory vs. LWO's Rey Mystery [with Zelina Vega;] Singles Match: my pick is Austin Theory. The first thing I want to say is; even though I have made this choice, that doesn't mean I have to like it. Now for a noteworthy event, I think they might pull the trigger on Santos Escobar turning on the LWO, either a slow turn beginning here with possibly accidentally costing Rey this championship or pull the trigger completely, if you want me to pick one I would say/more comfortable with a slow pulling the trigger, so consequently Theory ends up with this championship again, which I am not looking forward to so soon after the last time.

LA Knight vs. The Miz; Singles Match: my pick is LA Knight. Well times must be hard if The Miz is still able to get on the card for a pay-per-view/premium live event in 2023, hopefully this is just going to be a match/match slot that it should be a good solid match/match slot with Knight overcoming convincingly, but knowing the WWE hierarchy even the old or newer regime we will have this match again with just a different stipulation at WWE Fastlane 2023 [yes I can't believe they brought back this pay-per-view/premium live event either.]

The Judgement Day's: Finn Bálor & Damian Priest vs. Champs Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn; Steel City Street Fight for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship: my pick is The Judgement Day's: Finn Bálor & Damian Priest. Obviously the other two members of The Judgement Day are going to get involved at some point, but here comes the turning point when JD McDonagh shows what he can do, if he was allowed to join The Judgement Day. So for a little while McDonagh shows his usefulness to The Judgement Day and everything everything seems to be going okay Priest is still unsure about this, but eventually he is okay with it until down the line something goes wrong and The Judgement Day chooses McDonagh over Priest. But also at this event I don't think the WWE hierarchy could possibly resist considering this faction/group is on the poster for this event to have them all holding championships of some description by the end of this night.
