Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/racism/holocaust referenced/shooting

Let me tell you: Dalton Russell [Clive Owen:] a highly intelligent man, that is quietly intense as he gives us this monologue at the beginning of this film, but be warned he doesn't repeat himself. This bank job takes place at Manhattan Trust with Russell and his group of different interpretations of Steve which is just a small piece of Arthur Case's [Chris Plummer Empire as he is the chairman and on the board of directors and the founder of Manhattan Finance; he is a little bit shifty as this situation is developing he takes a safety precaution and hires a fix it person in Madeleine White [Jodie Foster] to make sure a large secret should not see the light of day: White is the best of the best of making things go away. Detective Keith Frazier [Denzel Washington:] a detective which is excellent at his job, but he does have a previous case hanging over his head as in he is being investigated for what happened to this large sum of money $140,000 and his partner Detective Bill Mitchell [Chiwetel Ejiofor:] a good partner, friend and likewise excellent detective; they have been given the job to handle this ongoing situation.

The frame work and pacing of this 129 minutes film well the frame work now and again goes to here and now present to after-the-fact as it relates to having our two detectives question some of these hostages and alongside that the pacing is upwardly mobile, don't get me wrong it is good that this project relies on being a talky-talky film [breaking the fourth-wall monologue at the beginning or in the closing stages from Dalton Russell and dialogue exchanges.]

Comedy, Character developments and performances: at some points throughout this film we have elements or little bits of comedy for an example; when we first meet our two detectives they are sitting at the desk talking about Detective Keith Frazier current relationship with Sylvia [Cassandra Freeman:] a caring and supportive girlfriend that knows a boyfriend didn't do anything wrong as it relates to the $140,000, their relationship status and their living arrangements with another member of her family and his previous marriage when he was young at the age of 21; these comedy moments are good. The character developments and the performances are also reliably good, the character developments are reliably good versions of what they are meant to be and likewise there is a good chemistry between his cast, which is on reflection vital importance. Because of their outlay of this film being a talky-talky film

Action: Action: we don't have much here to discuss, I'm not being disrespectful, but hopefully by now you would have got the idea that this is a talky-talky film, yes we have a hostage situation with them all being dressed up the same which is a smart idea and that is all I can say about that and of course at some point we have some gunfire.

This film receives: 6/10, this film is good; I mean I haven't seen this film for many years, so if you haven't seen it yet or like myself you haven't seen it for years, as my marking would suggest it is a good watch and yes it has some awards accredited to its name like 5 Winners that includes AFI Awards, USA 2007 AFI Award Movie of the Year INSIDE MAN is a classic heist film that vaults above genre under the direction of one of American film's truest voices, Spike Lee. This smart and shrewd crime thriller is layered with a complicated social portrait of the United States, where everybody is out for himself. This enriches the complexity of motives, and an all-star cast makes the most of this intricate game of cat and mouse, each with an eye on stealing the show. Black Reel Awards 2007 Black Reel Best Director Spike Lee and 12 Nominees such as from the same award event/ceremony Best Actor Denzel Washington. Away from this film, but it is here nonetheless; Central Ohio Film Critics Association 2007 COFCA Award Actor of the Year Clive Owen For Children of Men.
