Recommendation of: NXT Stand & Deliver 2023 by AverageMansReviews

Warning/Disclaimer/Blood warning: there is flashing/colourful effects throughout. I have never been in a wrestling ring and never likely to be and there is a blood warning in this content.

Zoey Stark vs. Gigi Dolin vs. Tiffany Stratton vs. Lyra Valkyria vs. Indi Hartwell vs. Champ Roxanne Perez ; Ladder Match for the NXT Women's Championship: this match was/is a banging start this event everyone looks better for having it. But there is just one little problem, I didn't watch the Kickoff Show but I saw the ending/beginning of this event live. I wasn't sure when it started and I had other things to go and do, so I know these wrestlers had an entrance. But my point is this; when I went to go and watch this event on replay, it gave the illusion of a jobber entrance if I didn't know what I knew which is bad production and also disrespectful to these wrestlers so because of this. This match/match slot receives: 9/10.

The Creed Brothers: Brutus & Julius Creed [with Ivy Nile] vs. The D'Angelo Family: Tony D'Angelo & Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo vs. Champs Gallus: Mark Coffey & Wolfgang; Triple Threat Match for the NXT Tag Team Championships: this continues the excellent beginning to this event, but were one comical botch in a nutshell there is a double stacked doomsday device so all Brutus as to do is hit the clothesline, but he goes for a shoulder tackle I believe instead, mind you if he goes for a clothesline he has completely missed it, but let's go with him using a shoulder tackle, he misses it by about 98% so if anything, if he is really lucky you may have just grazed his target or completely missed it altogether, the more and more I look at it if anything his nearest arm/hand made just about grazed the stack to tell them to go down, but we are talking about the smallest touch if anything. But you have the other wrestlers having to act as if he hit it, you even have Joseph on commentary trying his best to put it over as in basically saying he didn't get all that. This match/match slot receives: 8/10.

Dragon Lee vs. JD McDonagh vs. Ilja Dragunov vs. Axiom vs. Champ Wes Lee; Fatal Five-Way Match for the NXT North American Championship: this likewise keeps the excellent momentum going, but Booker T. shoots himself in the foot and Joseph catches him out, when Booker T. Makes reference to and I am paraphrasing here why is McDonagh being ganged up upon? Joseph: because he is a threat and haven't you he is in your favourite five that's why. Booker T.: I will give you that one. But don't worry too much Booker T pick some on something later in this event that Joseph says so as the scoreboard it is 1-1 and one final thing; this is where the blood warning comes into effect.

Grayson Waller vs. Johnny Gargano; Unsanctioned Match: yet again this match keeps up the excellent momentum of this event; just for an example we have the commentary team in one way or another being involved in the carnage. But there was a chair spot involving a suplex/brainbuster that looked painful for both participants, it is one of those botches that were a very last-minute thing, you can see at the moment when things went a bit south as this suplex on the outside of the ring apron turns into more of a brainbuster on to these position chairs, it was just an incident spot where you could practice it or perform it 9 times out of 10, where it could go the way was meant to go, but you always get that one occasion where at minimum something doesn't go as smoothly as it was meant to go. This match/match slot receives: 8/10.

Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn vs. Champs Fallon Henley & Kiana James [with Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen;] Tag Team match for the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship: I really don't have much to say here, other than I was beginning to fall asleep and having technical issues, where my Internet went down but within about 20 minutes came back on and then I continued watching it, all I can say is it is good and it does what they have designed it to do. This match/match slot receives: 7/10.

Carmelo Hayes [with Trick Williams] vs. Champ Bron Breakker; Singles Match for the NXT Championship: this looks and feels like a main event and how it should be done. But having said that we even have a botch in this match as well Hayes goes to use the ropes to perform a mode of and instead of bouncing off them he gets tangled up in stead, but because we are dealing with young wrestlers but also frankly main eventer for years to come, Breakker makes me think about it to integrated into the match as in trying to make it look like it was a part of the plan, but we all know he is quickly just covering up and little while later they try the spot again and yes we have Joseph or/and Booker T. Making reference to this at points, yes it lives up to its billing and expectations of a high quality match. This match/match slot receives 8/10.

The average mark of this pay-per-view is: 8/10, this Premium Live Event lives up to this brand's high standards and on top of that Booker T. was a lot less irritating as he can be at these events and full disclosure I knew one of the results before watching this event. So I only have one other thing to say it is over to you WrestleMania 39/2023: Night 1 & 2 to keep up the average of this weekend and prove me wrong that I think at minimum these two nights are a mixed bag, so our next stop is WrestleMania 39/2023: Night 1.
