Review Time

Warning/Disclaimer: there is colourful effects/flashing effects/racism/police brutality/white on black violence/shooting/medical/torture/biting. Disclaimer; on one hand this may be triggering for some people and anything I say is based/is related to this film, so I mean no disrespect.

So we don't learn anything that we don't already know from this film: this African-American Rockie Police Alicia West witnesses these crooked Police Officers taken care of business, but luckily enough she captures is whole transaction on her camera [the one that police officers were to capture evidence,] but she is seen and shot, but once again luckily she has her protective jacket on. Eventually there is only one individual that you can really trust Milo "Mouse" Jackson [Tyrese Gibson.]

The pacing for this 108 minutes film is like the rest of the film it or they serve their purpose or they are what they are meant to be.

Art; there are some very tiny elements of art for an example the street art like these faces.

What do you want me to say about this film?; it just shines a light on a problem which has been around for an unbelievable amount of years; everyone knows it happens, but the powers that be in the USA or my country the UK are generally happy with the status quo. The USA has an racial issue the UK has an racial issue [including from my perspective how they treat the disabled and those with mental health issues. I'm not I will repeat not comparing myself to the racial societies out there, I am just saying that I come from the differences section of society which deals with discrimination, prejudicism and so on and so forth.

Like I said to the person I watched this film with " How did this film yet greenlighted to go into production censored language alternative words because it is garbage." I mean we even have the old character development of a Caucasian character senior cop outsmarting an African American crime lord Darius Tureau [Mike Colter] I know there is very brief conversation between Darius and is right-hand man paraphrasing here; can we trust him? He has gave is no reason for us not to trust him. So yes we are going to have this old character development, which if I was Darius at this point in time, I would be trusting my inner circle crew, but that would be it until this situation has been resolved.

This film receives: 2/10, this film is poor; I mean yes it clearly has a plan to highlight some of the long-term problems, which I don't mind. But let me put it this way this film was released in 2019, when this review was first dictated it is 2022 and we are still having these problems and yes we have had a global pandemic, but for an example it could be 1995 to 2005 the problems are still there and this film really does just highlight what we already know and they are getting worse. There is an ending credit seen in the first lot of ending credits and finally this film has some awards accredited to its name; 1 Winner ReFrame 2020 Winner ReFrame Stamp Top 100 Grossing Narrative & Animated Feature (2019) Sony Pictures Releasing. 2 Nominees African Movie Academy Awards 2020 AMAA Best Diaspora Narrative Feature Deon Taylor (Director) Roxanne Avent (Executive Producer) Hidden Empire Film Group (HEFG) (Production Company) and Image Awards (NAACP) 2020 Image Award Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture Naomie Harris.
