Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/medical/decapitation/beheading/impaling.

A family arises from deaths: Thor [Chris Hemsworth] worked hard pulling himself back together again, just in time to deal with a new threat targeting Gods and anything else that stands in his way; by the name of Gorr the God Butcher [Christian Bale] that has in his possession the Necrosword which as you can guess this sword can kill Gods, but there is one deadly drawback to wielding this powerful and deadly sword; it takes its wielder's life force. But don't worry Thor will not go into battle alone; the relatively new King of Asgard Valkyrie [Tessa Thompson,] Dr. Jane Foster/Mighty Thor [Natalie Portman] and Kong/Old Kronan God [voiced by Taika Waititi] will fight alongside him in battle. The pacing of this 119 minutes film is good; you know it has a lot to cover in this film, so it just has to keep going at a good pace going up and down its gear changes when it is appropriate to do so. I bet Guns N' Roses got a very good payday from this film as at one point or another you will hear a song track from them and before you ask which ones here you go; Welcome To The Jungle, Paradise City, Sweet Child O' Mine and November Rain and they have a character that takes the lead vocalist/pianist Axl Rose first Astrid/Axl [Kieren L. Dyer] whilst I was looking the soundtrack list I found this; Hey Nonny Nonny written by Taika Waititi; which he is also one of the Writers [the other is Jennifer Kaytin Robinson]  Story by him [based on Marvel comics by Stan Lee & Jason Aaron] and he is also the Director for this Film,, like he was for the previous instalment Thor: Ragnarok 2017 and voice actor for Taika Waititi

This project has so much to offer so let's begin with the comedy, we have this love triangle between Thor, his ex-partner Mjölnir his original weapon of choice, which is getting on really well with its new partner which is Thor's ex-girlfriend Dr. Jane Foster/Mighty Thor and his current weapon of choice Stormbreaker which both of these weapons have been given more of a personality [body language] which open up the door to have this kind of comedy where Stormbreaker can indicate "Is there something going on here?" Or "There looks to be something going on here between you two?" and Thor saying basically " There is nothing going on between us." But then again Stormbreaker clearly has a jealous streak as well as Thor is praising Zeus' [Russell Crowe] Thunderbolt, Stormbreaker makes it very bluntly obvious that this individual isn't happy with Thor is giving praise, so Thor in a panic with a dialogue hands it over to King Valkyrie

I am just going to talk about my favourite sections of this film, the rest of the film they are all positive in their own ways. But for me it's The Shadow Realm where as soon as you reach the gravitational pull; it takes 97% of an individual's colour, the 3% is anything glowing anything like this remains which in turn light up a piece of clothing; this is excellent art. There is this small action sequence where Gorr takes them prisoner in shadow restrains which he controls. Between these four characters/performers they do an excellent job here and throughout the film; this is very much a cast performance big or small roles everyone brings something to the table. But I digress for here and now Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher should be looking at minimum some positive Nominees for this performance as in this sequence of events; he tells them the truth [full disclosure I don't know anything about this character] he has the dynamic of a villain yes but also no, without giving too much away he has done everything he was meant to do and in return he asks just one thing.

Then we have Thor, Dr. Jane Foster/Mighty Thor and King Valkyrie vs. Gorr the God Butcher and these Shadow Monsters; which I am seriously hoping that at minimum this picks up some positive Nominees for being highly imaginative and highly creative and truly captivating. Yes there is more action to be had in The Shadow Realm, but I will not discuss that one as I have already discussed one section already, but I like this also.

This film receives: 10/10, this film is lots of fun; after everything is said and done this film deserves this marking. I am very much aware that this film title has been getting criticised in one way or another quite heavily which means I will have to do another blog on that; which I can already give you a warning I am going to be hostile and rightly so. Because I can see what they have done here; which is to move things on, freshen things up, include components in the MCU [Marvel Cinematic Universe] and deal with a subject matter such as cancer with respect. I mean if you want to go and watch something disjointed and depressing you always have Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice 2016, there are two ending credits one each at the end of the credits section and finally the Hemsworth family members in this film in some capacity. Wife: Elsa Pataky as Wolf Woman. Children; India Rose Hemsworth as Love, Sasha Hemsworth as Asgardian Kid and Tristan Hemsworth as Young Thor. Brother/brother-in-law/uncle Luke Hemsworth as Actor Thor. So you get 6 Hemsworths in this film for the price of one, it is just a shame they couldn't get Liam Hemsworth; brother/brother-in-law/uncle that way you/we could have all the Hemsworth family in one project.
