Storyline/Characters/Action/Comedy/Performances: now at one point or another these components go hand-in-hand. The storyline focuses on Moondog/McConaughey; he is a writer or should that be for a quarter of his time; for the rest, a complete waste of space as he is a bum; drinking, marijuana taking, sleeping around married man. I really don't like this film, I just found it to be absolute garbage; for the first 28 minutes nothing of great note happens, but don't worry about that because my interest was completely switched off after 15 minutes. The movement and pacing within the first 28 minutes are a complete shambles, because you don't know if you are coming or going, I mean it does get better and when I say it gets better don't hope for too much. I am talking to the level of it holds itself together and that is it.

Our lead character infuriates me; whenever he does anything wrong he is not the one to pay the price or participate in criminal activity or has friends that will keep him out of trouble, don't get me wrong he does get arrested and sent to rehab, but he doesn't take this seriously. I mean he is a married man yet freely sleeps around, but here is the cherry on top of the cake; he is taken back when he witnesses his wife Minnie/Fisher and friend to both of them; Lingerie/Dogg clearly enjoying each other's company, you know enough to say crystal clearly "There is a relationship here and I'm not talking just friends." I am not justifying any of this but why is it okay for him to do these things; including speculation on my part but quite possibly sleep with people they both know, but not for her? Let's be honest being fair and balanced no one has the moral high ground here. We'll will

Comedy; there are only two pieces of comedy I can say that are comedy; the first is where in short Moondog/McConaughey pushes this old lady in a wheelchair [under the joke of it is his mother but it isn't] at his Daughter’s Wedding [Heather/Owens ] and let's go of it as she crashes somewhere and the second one you will have to hear out for; it is where Captain Wack/Lawrence is just about to jump into these waters to go and swim with these dolphins apparently [they are not they are sharks.] But this is not what I found funny, he uses a line from another McConaghy film which is synonymous with him and it is just two words "All right, all right, all right" [this quote is from Wooderson/McConaughey in the film title Dazed and Confused 1993] I will leave the link to this review at the bottom, if you are interested in this film.

Performances: if this is what they were going for they achieved what they wanted to achieve.

Art: [Visually] there is a lot to see and experience be it the skies and clouds or the fireworks and other things. [Sound] bands or instruments playing, I mean if I had to pick out something positive it would be the Art in any form.

This film receives: 1/10, this film is poor; as you may have guessed by now I really just don't like this film yet somehow it has either Won an Award Americana Film Fest 2020; Critics Prize; Harmony Korine. Here are just two of the Nominations which there are seven of them; Indiana Film Journalists Association, US 2019; IFJA Award; Best Actor; Matthew McConaughey and Alliance of Women Film Journalists; EDA Special Mention Award 2020; EDA Special Mention Award Hall of Shame.
