Review Time

Warning: there is colourful effects/flashing effects/medical element

Storyline: it is good; the pacing generally speaking mobile, but somewhere around the middle or just before it loses itself for while, but it finds itself again.

Action/Art: there is combat, a NBA element and a weapon being used. Moving on to the art there is a consistent representation of art in this film; be it pictures or photographs in Israel, Esq.'s/Washington first place of living in this film or these scenes of trams or this Fun Fair [in the distance at the end of this pier] as Israel, Esq./Washington is sitting in this seat on this balcony, with his balcony fireplace with this beach, sea and trees on the left-hand side; the camera shot is from behind Israel, Esq.'s/Washington's chair, back, shoulder, neck and head. But as the camera shot goes up and forward the day turns into night and the viewers can see these attracting bright lights come on to attract potential customers.

Characters/Performances: including the on-screen chemistry; it is all good. To be a little bit more specific now as it relates to Israel, Esq./Washington; it is 50-50 to whether this character has an undiagnosed mental disability or personality disorder or if he is just this way; as in mixed in with being highly intelligent consequently does things in a very purposeful manner or has no filter as it relates to people or real life situations, it's like he does crossover that line between being highly intelligent and then highly intelligent with an undiagnosed mental disability or a personality disorder and then back again, so that is why I have chosen 50-50, because there is enough evidence to suggest all of the above, he is a complicated character which Washington does pull off fluently with great purpose and conviction.

This film receives: 6/10, this film is good; it takes its viewers through a portion of Roman J. Israel, Esq.'s life and if there are any fans of Denzel Washington out there in Internet land take a look at this film.
