Review Time
Warning: there is colourful effects/flashing
effects/medical procedures/man on fire.
Storyline: it is good;
but there is an unnecessary question mark style ending at the end of this film,
where without giving too much away we have Crawford/Harmon saying something to
the effect of "I will find out the truth." You'll find out why this
is an unnecessary question-mark style ending, I mean in fairness and balance I
get it but it still comes over as unnecessary and on reflection a bit annoying;
that is all I can say about that and moving on to the pacing it does get better
the more you watch of this film.
Action/Art: these two
components go hand-in-hand; in these underwater sequences; they are good action
sequences and from an artistic perspective they are eye-catching.
Action;
individually there are weapons being
used, chasing and just for one example we Thomas/Gooding Jr. and
Crawford/Harmon taking a nice little trip down the side of a mountain in their
vehicle to catch up to Baldwin/Greene in his vehicle consequently hitting his
vehicle and send it tumbling.
Art; individually
here are just two examples we have this very small number of scenes of the sky
as the day is coming to a close with the effects of the sun setting and this colour
system to reflect that [I am just talking about the sky.]
This pier
[outside Thomas's/Gooding Jr. house and where he keeps his boat,] but these light
bulbs that will light your way; they are okay by day but much better by night;
as they make this place look welcoming and peaceful.
Characters/Performances: including the on-screen chemistry they are what they are and it is
solid [just to cover my back; yes once again without giving too much away I
couldn't see the end coming,]
This film receives: 5/10, this film is mixed; this mark is a true reflection of this
film.
