Review Time

Warning: there is a domestic violence component/mental health component/self-harm/cutting of the neck.

Storyline: it is okay, it is a little bit predictable and it does leave things open for a sequel [this is speculation on my part based on my viewing experience,] the pacing of this film for roughly the first 47 minutes is so slow but after this time length it steadily wakes up to be something that has a tiny bit of get up and go to it.

Action/Art: these two components work hand-in-hand in this action sequence where  The Invisible Man [the viewers get to see from his perspective] as he is taking these Security Guards down at this mental institution and there are some good looking scenes involving the Golden Gate Bridge; so everything in this paragraph is good.

On a quick side note I do research, but if it should happen that I get any location wrong or anything like this I apologize, I was just thinking I would cover my back.

Characters/Performances: the character developments are something safe and reliable and the same can be said for the performances and on-screen chemistry as well.

This film receives: 4/10, this film is mixed; well roughly the first 47 minutes of this film pretty much killed my interest and after that this film was fighting a losing battle.

The viewers don't see enough of The Invisible Man [yes I know this would be hard considering he is invisible,] but I am specifically talking about the storyline here; they could have added a science-fiction element of the creation of this invisible suit or if they wanted to do things slightly differently; they could have this character/performer having this dawning idea of this invisible suit and just skip out the creation section just something to keep this film interesting, I mean they could have deliberately shot everything without showing the individual or individuals identities and play some background music to cover up the dialogue exchanges, but the background music could match the emotions of this scenes at those specific times; I mean if they really, really wanted to get creative they could do this section of the film in black-and-white and rotate to colour when the film begins properly or do these segments in black-and-white until their completion to pay homage to the original Invisible Man 1933, but go back to colour for the rest of the film.

So in a nutshell not enough meat here, but plenty of gravy and if they don't come out with a sequel or a prequel or crossover or something [once again this is speculation on my part and based on my viewing experience and we all know how Hollywood works these days,] this film will be a waste of time.
