Review Time: this title is a classic.
Fundamental elements: there are slow-motion effects, background music, time jumps and place
jumps.
Comedy level/Action sequences: here are just some things for you to look out for in this title as it
relates to comedy material and action elements;
Star Trek sequence [material based on the original generation], Mission
Impossible music/our lead role treating it as a Mission Impossible sequence,
the sequence involving these words "this house is clear" I have just
taken a small element of this sequence to put in this review, the
rewind/slow-motion replay sequence, the bubble-wrap element and our lead role catching
a bullet with his teeth, combat elements and weapons being used.
Character developments/Performances: generally speaking firstly the character developments are easy to
settle down with, moving on to the performances generally speaking the cast minus
two is something safe and reliable. The success of this project is heavily,
heavily down to Jim Carrey's performance, as you will see throughout this
project is performance is enthusiastic and to naturally/swiftly move between
being comical to dialogue or dialogue exchanges with sometimes comedy elements
in them in one way or another to the storyline and then keep the rotation going
in any order has to be given high praise, there is good chemistry between
Carrey and Cox [in a nutshell Carrey is the comedy whilst Cox is sensible.]
This film receives: 10/10, this title is highly comical but having said that I should
point out there are some comedy elements that by today's standards will seem
outdated but this title after all these years still gets given this mark
