Review Time: this project is good
Fundamental elements: there are words
and numbers on screen, cultural elements, background music, no subtitles when
another language is being used, voice-over elements, a mental imagery flashback
thing, time jumps and place jumps.
Artistic visions: there is this symbol on the floor and on the side of this plane
transporting these characters to this location [basically this symbol is of
this hand holding this sword in a circle] or this sequence where one character
gets killed to bring another character back to life or to release this
character I am not sure which one it is so I have put both [he comes up from
this place and is covered in blood from head to toe] or this other sequence
where Hellboy is bringing this other character back to life kind of; meaning he
is mentally and verbally able to communicate but pretty much nothing else [but
this character looks nicely detailed and well put together.
Comedy level/Action sequences: it is a consistent theme; be it visual comedy where our lead role
lights his cigar with these flames of fire; his finger or fingers is on fire
yet he casually lights his cigar whilst communicating with another character on
this communication device or in the dialogue or dialogue exchanges.
The action
sequences also have this element of comedy to them now and again, for this one
example Hellboy puts up his hand to stop this oncoming vehicle which clearly it
isn't going to stop so he punches this bonnet and this vehicle flips over his
head and roughly throughout this movement, he says red means stop [just in case
you don't know this lead character is of the colour of red.]
Performances: now generally speaking they range from anywhere around mixed to good.
This film receives: 7/10, with taking everything into consideration this mark feels fair,
there are action sequences, comedy elements, comic book appearances of Hellboy
and other things. But keeping this review balanced I don't know if it is just
me or are some sections of this title quicker or have a better fluency to it
than others.
