Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light 1987 [Season 1, DVD 2] Episode 13: Dawn of the Sun Imps by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode is good

Basic background information: as this is the final episode of this TV series I was thinking I would do something slightly different, now if I had to pick between the Spectral Knights or the Darkling Lords to which has the better magic or vehicles/weapon systems, it would have to be the Darkling Lords and it has to be said this was an easy choice to make, I mean just off the top of my head they have The Dagger Assault and the power staffs of Decay and Destruction [these are just three examples.]

Comedy level: there is a comedy level throughout this episode as these characters get released and their main aim is to cause mischief wherever they go like for one example this Darkling Lord [Darkstorm] has outgrowing hair from everywhere so much so he looks like a puppet on some strings.

Action sequences: I did find it a little bit strange where the audience has these two Spectral Knights and these two Darkling Lords fighting and when they discover this place they stop fighting, discuss things, have a vote in this location in fact one of the Spectral Knights [Arzon] shouts out a message for Darkstorm.

But there is more when these two groups of characters get sent on a mission, there is no tension between these two groups, I mean okay these two groups can be mature and look at the bigger picture and in fairness and balance one or two of them can have respect for one another, but there should be some kind of tension considering at the beginning of this episode two Darkling Lords were shooting at two Spectral Knights.

This episode receives: 6/10, with all things considered this episode is good what with the imagination used, in fact the artistic visions are why this episode gets a 6 instead of a 5 out of 10, but then again it is just really strange how the Spectral Knights and the Darkling Lords are now getting along, but as I have already said at the beginning of this episode they were fighting and whilst I am on the subject yes in previous episodes there have been elements of comedy now and again in them, [I wasn't keeping score] but it never seems to feel based on my viewing experience of this TV series, just elements of comedy a sprinkling here and there that kind of thing, but in this episode it just feels like it has more of a presence, but then again I could be wrong about this.
