Review Time: this episode is highly
entertaining.
Basic background information: now let's
talk about the most feared or it should be the most feared vehicle/weapon
system to any visionary, it doesn't matter if you are a Spectral Knight or a
Darkling Lord [on a very quick side note this vehicle/weapon system is the
biggest that the Darkling Lords have at their disposal,] but this isn't why it
should be feared, you see it has this big department known as The Magical
Dungeon and its purpose is to take away any visionaries totem or restore it and
yes this is just one element of this vehicle/weapon system.
Artistic visions: the human chess
pieces plus the chess board on the floor, this element shows great imagination.
Action sequences/Power staff: well if I
just had to pick one to talk about it would have to be where Decay gets
released and he goes around decaying [it looks like killing] these giant flower
or plant like creatures, yes this sequence is good fun but I did get confused
on a technicality this power staff can be used up to twice, but after the first
time does he get killed by this character by swatting at him or does he just
run out of magic or something else [because if he does get killed by this
character it is a weak way to go out,] so as I have already said in a different
review as it relates to this power staff, it can be used up to twice but it
looks like it has some small print as on how to use this power staff, he needs
to land on his target without being killed to either decay them or return them
back to normal, they need to be living after he has left them to be able to
restore them [I am just basing this on a logical perspective from what I have
seen from this episode] and like every power staff they will not attack the
holder of the orb [the ball like thing that now and again Merklynn has with
him] and this element was pointed out in the episode Visionaries: Knights of
the Magical Light 1987 [Season 1, DVD 1] Episode 3: Quest for the Dragon's Eye
and apologies if I have repeated myself from any previous review as it relates
to this TV program.
Blooper: now whilst I was watching an element of this
episode again to make sure I got everything that I wanted in this review, I
realized in the final scenes a character [Witterquick] says something about lab
tests, this got me thinking I was under the impression that the time of science
and technology was over on this planet, so my rhetorical question is this; how
can there be lab tests without science and technology? I could be wrong but I
am sure you need an element of both to do lab tests.
This episode receives: 10/10, there are many high-quality elements including explaining the
weaknesses of this jacket at some point [yes this jacket has a different name,]
because of this; it gives this episode a well-rounded ending, I mean if this
wasn't explained I was considering between a 9 or a 10, which yes it would have
been another tough decision but as they cover this element, it made my choice
much easier [just for the record even with this blooper I am still happy with
this mark, let's be fair I have pointed out other bloopers and I haven't taken
off any marks for them.]
