Ultimate Muscle: The Kinnikuman Legacy [Season 1,] Episode 22: Road Rage by AverageMansReviews

5 things about this episode

Warning: there is flashing/colourful/other effects/bodily functions/medical/animal cruelty

Hercules Student #58 Generation X's; Road Rage; his strength can also be his weaknesses: Storyline, Character [Character developments,] Action and Comedy; this wrestling match is still ongoing between Road Rage vs. Kid Muscle; there is a debate between Meat and World Championship Wrestling] with the Lead Director of IFW [Intergalactic Wrestling Federation] Vance McMadd and our commentary team of Mac Metaphor and "Doc" Nakano about Road Rage potentially breaking the rules of using his hypnotic abilities which he was cleared of based on he didn't leave the ring, but if he was to go outside the ring and pick up a chair and use it this could be against the rules so says and I am paraphrasing Nakano. Later on Kid gets around Road Rage's following the rules thing, by painting some symbols on the mat such as for one example a ball of his favourite food rice and tell a.k.a. beef karaoke, so this is what he does with a chef hat and a apron on.

This episode receives: 9/10, this episode is excellent; I have seen enough of this TV show now, to say in this; it feels quite happy in the realms of lunacy as I have shown, so this is one of those things that you either have to grow to love or like it or at minimum put up with it.

Pay-Per-View Rewind of: WWE Evolution 28/10/2018 Match 7 Part 7/Conclusion by AverageMansReviews - Spoiler Alarm!

Pay-Per-View Rewind of: WWE Evolution 28/10/2018 Match 7 Part 7/Conclusion by AverageMansReviews - Spoiler Alarm!

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects

Match/Stipulations: The Bellanation's: The Bella Twins: Nikki Bella [with Brie Bella] vs. the WWE Women's Raw Champion The Baddest Woman on The Planet "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey; Singles Match for the WWE Women's Raw Championship

Match Attributes:

Match Quality: 8/10

Match Slot Storyline: 7/10

Crowd Participation: 8/10

On Commentary: Beth Phoenix, Michael Cole & Renee Young 7/10

Satisfying Conclusion: 8/10

Recommend Watch: 8/10

Match Total: 46/60 - this match is excellent

Comments: well let's finish this pay-per-view on a high and that is exactly what they did here. Throughout we have the commentary table putting over women's wrestling including Beth Phoenix pointing out that Nikki is having a tantrum at this point, which I didn't like her having a tantrum, it does somewhat devalue this main event a little to be fair.

Basic Result: the WWE Women's Raw Champion The Baddest Woman on The Planet "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey retains her championship here.

Basic walk-through of this event:

* Beth Phoenix, Michael Cole & Renee Young: Commentary watching replays of part of this match Ronda Rousey's theme music "Bad Reputation," they put over Rousey as she is celebrating withThe Bella Twins: Nikki Bella [with Brie Bella] saying it isn't over. They/we go to Nia Jax watching Rousey on a TV screen to set up Jax as her new no1 contender after winning the battle royal earlier on the pay-per-view. We go back to Rousey celebrating with majority of the locker room and  Commissioner of Monday Night Raw Stephanie McMahon, whilst Cole basically signs off and sends us to a video package recapping this pay-per-view over Little Mix's track "Salute" we come back for a split second to see them still celebrating at the top of the ramp.

The pay-per-view receives: 7/10, this pay-per-view is good; now usually I would award another mark based on the grounds that all of these matches are positive, but like I said somewhere in this journey throughout I did say I am paraphrasing here but if I did make reference to something once I would say it then and then leave it until the end to bring it up again. So guess what we are at the end of this pay-per-view and the reason I haven't given this pay-per-view and extra mark for being all positive matches is because the fact that this pay-per-view pushes this really false narrative of yeah we made it, this is just the beginning. But as far as I'm concerned this time within the WWE has always been a publicity stunt, now let me put this clearly I am not a sexist, in fact the WWE and and I do stress and AEW could be doing tons better as it relates to women's wrestling, before I hear any complaints about but the WWE are doing much better, yes this is true and yes I have said that generally speaking we will have to give AEW 10 years to see how things play out, but I can't deny the fact that their women's revolution within their own company has stalled. On one hand yes I am very much aware that there is at minimum an idea to bring this Premium Live Event back under the new regime, but on the other hand does anyone remember the last time a women's match headlined a WWE Pay-Per-View/Premium Live Event? Now obviously I have done some research on this so it was Saturday 10/04/2021 WrestleMania 37, Night 1 Bianca Belair vs. Champ Sasha Banks; Singles Match for the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship, I mean AEW don't try to pull this false narrative publicity stunt and for those triggered people I will make this clear again AEW need to be doing so much more on their own turf so I am not condoning or defending the fact that again as it relates to their women wrestlers the whole roster has very much stalled. I mean the WWE don't have to do this, but if there are going to be less Premium Live Events there is nothing stopping them from taking one idea from AEW and that is taking the miniature Pay-Per-View in fact I am pretty sure that In Your House was based on that idea, but it is just they have Raw which would be the right time length, where they could have a rotating championship or championships be it on the men's or women's side of things minus the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the main event and on the upside it would boost TV ratings. I wonder if they are aware that if they did these things on a consistent basis as it relates to the women wrestlers, it wouldn't need this false push, because if you do something more frequently it becomes the norm.

The highest ranking match on this card based on attributes that we get to see would be: The Bellanation's: The Bella Twins: Nikki Bella [with Brie Bella]  vs. the WWE Women's Raw Champion The Baddest Woman on The Planet "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey; Singles Match for the WWE Women's Raw Championship with 46/60.

The lowest ranking match on this card based on attributes that we get to see would be: The Riot Squad; Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan & Ruby Riot vs."Boss" Sasha Banks, Natalya & Bayley; Six-Woman Tag Team Match with 41/60.

In-depth Predictions/Other elements for WWE/NXT Deadline 2022 by AverageMansReviews

In-depth Predictions/Other elements for WWE/NXT Deadline 2022 by AverageMansReviews

Just a heads up/Full Disclosure: this will not be a regular thing [if or when it is convenient for me,] like the main roster I don't watch NXT, this is just down to time, basically I create content and trying keep up-to-date. But I know some of these wrestlers from NXT UK and/or the main rosters.

Alba Fyre vs. Isla Dawn; Singles Match: my pick is Isla Dawn. What we have here is two Scottish women that know how to wrestle and simply put hopefully Dawn will pick up the win here just based on her new beginning in NXT. On reflection it would have been better if she had debuted at Halloween Havoc, because of her horror/witch gimmick, but then or here it is all good.

The New Day [Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods] vs. Champs Pretty Deadly [Elton Prince & Kit Wilson;] Tag Team Match for the NXT Tag Team Championships: my pick is The New Day [Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods.] I know on the other hand this match could just be designed to put over the current champions. But on the other hand and I am leaning this way, why not elevate these championships by the usage of this future Hall of Fame tag team and yes I know they are still relatively young, but as the main roster versions are let's just say in use for the foreseeable future let's have The New Day as I have already said but now including elevate these championships and division and let's not forget these young tag teams can only benefit from going head-to-head with a Hall of Fame tag team in this case or trio [including Big E] and there is one of a massive positive to why this should happen, it is all about TV ratings as well.

Apollo Crews vs. Champ Bron Breakker; Singles Match for the NXT Championship: my pick is Bron Breakker. This is going to be a meaty encounter with two wrestlers that can do the wrestling, but I can only see Breakker retaining here.

Zoey Stark vs. Cora Jade vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Kiana James vs. Indi Hartwell; Women's Iron Survivor Challenge to determine the #1 Contender for the NXT Women's Championship: my pick is Cora Jade. Because it has been said that within the WWE, she is being seen as the next Sasha Banks; so why not put her in a position at the end of 2022 to begin in 2023 her rise.

Carmelo Hayes vs. JD McDonagh vs. Grayson Waller vs. Joe Gacy vs. Axiom; Men's Iron Survivor Challenge to determine the #1 Contender for the NXT Championship: my pick is Joe Gacy. Because like Bray Wyatt the cult leader gimmick of what I have seen online which is of little bit here and there Gacy has a similar gimmick going on, so let's push him and his followers to see how far they get with their interpretation. I know Gracy has been rumoured to be joining up with Wyatt as a member of his Wyatt 6, but I figure if this is true it would be a good idea to do some misdirection, to make him look like he is busy doing his own thing and then when the time is right, whenever that will be have him pull double duty or have him fade away or something else mysterious, but if this is correct and they play it right it could go fantastically well, I should finish by saying if this is true.

3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain 1998 by AverageMansReviews

3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain 1998 by AverageMansReviews

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/shooting/bodily functions/electrocution/terrorism

What a birthday that was: we meet our 3 Ninjas brothers; Samuel Douglas Jr. a.k.a. Rocky [Mathew Botuchis,] Jeffrey Douglas a.k.a. Colt [Michael J. O'Laskey II/Michael O'Laskey II] and Michael Douglas a.k.a. Tum-Tum [J.P. Roeske II/James Paul Roeske II] as they are spending potentially there last summer together with their grandma; Grampa Mori [Victor Wong,] which he is aware of this potential outcome as he is stealthily eavesdropping on this conversation The next day is Tum-Tum's birthday and with the newest addition to the neighbourhood's children Amanda [Chelsey Earlywine;] she is a technical, computer savvy individual to a extremely high level indeed, her father works in the film industry. They all head off to Mega Mountain Amusement Park, where Colt and Tum-Tum on going backstage to try and get Dragon Dave's [Hulk Hogan;] autograph; his TV show "Dave Dragon And The 5 Star Force" recently got cancelled and this is his final appearance, they quickly discover not everything is okay backstage as this Amusement Park and its patrons are being held hostage for $10 million by Mary Ann "Medusa" Rogers [Loni Anderson] and her right-hand man Lothar Zogg [Jim Varney,] some members of her family and their hench-people.

The pacing for this 94 minutes film is like this film in its entirety straightforward and it sticks to the plan.

The action and comedy; obviously it is situated around martial arts and the comedy is woven into it at some point; there is Rocky vs. Zogg high up on these rollercoaster tracks as there is some hostages hanging upside down within this rollercoaster and Rocky's girlfriend Jennifer [Lindsay Felton] which has been tied down [sitting up on these tracks] which if you have been following this franchise yes we still have one moment where his brothers still say "Rocky loves Jennifer" and for a little bit of art we have this land to water missile.

The character developments and performances: well the character developments are solidly good versions of what they are meant to be, but the performances range from all-round good from these three brothers and their family, including Rocky's girlfriend and their newly found friend, neighbour and not forgetting Zogg. But the rest have moments of being good, okay or poor [depending who is on screen at this time, is to which description applies here; but I should point out when these occasions arise it is very clear on which description applies at this time; there is no confusion here.] I have to ask why is Medusa wearing this black leather outfit? Meaning and I am not being woke here, but this is purely based on observation, it is inappropriate for a family-based film. I mean in fairness and balance she is covered up, but you can clearly see the sexual side of it, including she has a black whip as well.

This film receives: 3/10, this film is poor; I mean on reflection I decided to award this project another mark, because even though it almost put me to sleep when it is going through its better to good moments it is something like its previous instalments and yes I haven't reviewed them yet, I have seen them at least once to know enough. But even though I have been positive I can't deny that this film almost put me to sleep on top of that I also can't deny that when this film is either having a poor moment or worse let's just say this mark is easy to justify. This film has a couple of awards accredited to its name and yes one negative and one positive; 2 Nominees The Stinkers Bad Movie Awards 1998; Stinker Award The Sequel Nobody Was Clamoring For and Young Artist Awards 1999; Young Artist Award; Best Performance in a Feature Film - Young Ensemble Mathew Botuchis Michael O'Laskey II James Paul Roeske II.

Ultimate Muscle: The Kinnikuman Legacy [Season 1,] Episode 21: A Bad Sign by AverageMansReviews

Ultimate Muscle: The Kinnikuman Legacy [Season 1,] Episode 21: A Bad Sign by AverageMansReviews

Review Time:

5 things about this episode

Warning: there is flashing/colourful/other effects/bodily functions/medical/animal cruelty/suffocation/drowning

The Muscle League are now 2 down to Generation X: Storyline, Character [Character developments,] Comedy and Action; things look bad for The Muscle League as they have already lost two members to being comprehensively defeated so 2 members of Generation X progress to the next stage of the tournament and just on a quick side note that a valid one; the only reason I am not calling Generation X also from The Muscle League is because I wanted to distinguish one group from the other so I went with just Generation X.

I keep meaning to bring up this character so I have decided to do it now; Meat is the coach/manager/parent figure-ish to begin with of Kid Muscle, he was originally Kid's father's coach/manager, but Meat was cryogenically frozen for if he is services were ever needed again. But nowadays it is fair to say we have members of the current crop of The Muscle League [the members of our group] needing a kick up the posterior/parent figure-ish so he has branched out a little. He is a mixture between Danny DeVito and a little like Rocky's coach/manager  Michael "Mickey" Goldmill [portrayed by Burgess Meredith] but let's just say Meat is the kid friendly version and for fans of the Rocky franchise, there is nothing wrong with Michael "Mickey" Goldmill he is a legend in this franchise. But like I said Meat is just the kid friendly or the appropriate version for potentially a younger audience.

Back to present events Kid has updated his entrance ring attire to reflect really recent events, but Kid unfortunately finds himself in a situation where an accessory gets stuck around his head and is panicking, so Meat has to get on the ring ropes and pull it off his head.

This episode receives: 8/10, this episode is excellent; things are quickly progressing with lots of enthusiasm in one way or another.

Back in Action 1993/1994 by AverageMansReviews

Back in Action 1993/1994 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/shooting/stabbing/burning/disfigurement/biting/drugs

Two connecting situations: in summary an undercover drug deal goes wrong which consequently Detective Frank Rossi [Roddy Piper] is seeking justice for his dead partner Detective Wallace [Barry Blake.] Meanwhile Billy [Billy Blanks] an Ex-Special Forces, Green Beret; nowadays current Taxi Driver is desperately trying to keep his sister Tara [Kai Soremekun] away from her boyfriend Gantry [Damon D'Oliveira] which is connected to this drug dealing with a life.

The pacing of this roughly 88 minutes film is like the vast majority of it safe and reliable.

The action is solidly good; we get to see some wrestling moves; Frank vs. Billy where we see a clothesline from Frank at the beginning section of their combat sequence, then later on he performs a bulldog and then a dropkick on Chakka [Matt Birman] through this patio slide door which is nice and conveniently open in their action sequence. Slightly moving on now for those that are old enough to remember this; we have this Asian martial arts slow motion effect; Bruce Lee used to have them to signify the final blow or death, but in this film it could mean impact of the move and then the sequence may continue or like I said the final blow of the sequence [On a quick side note; now re-watching this they do it the bulldog and the dropkick as well,] much later on there is this tag team move between Frank and Billy they run from opposite ways with hench-people's heads to bang these two individuals heads together. We also have a little bit of art where Billy is leaving a calling card for his sister to be returned in the form of her name being left somewhere, in particular using a blowtorch to write "Tara" in this metal material and finally we have drugs of comedy where for an example in a nutshell Rossi is in a difficult situation so he is forced to give this interview about this ongoing situation to this news reporter/relationship thing with Helen Lewinsky [Bobbie Phillips] which he attempts to block his boss viewing it from seeing it on TV  Lt. Burns [Sam Milkin] but he is unsuccessful on seeing it; which it is a completely deadpan interview that Rossi gave which Lt. Burns paraphrasing is highly impressed; you will never have you on TV again.

The character developments and the performances are mostly solidly good; but individually or together Blank or/and Piper lead this cast with clear and strong performances you know; they know who they are and what their motivations are, yes in the interest of fairness and balance the same can be said for Lewinsky as well.

This film receives: 5/10, this film is mixed; will to be more precise it is a solid film and this mark is the closest I can justify it to and there is a miniscule extra scene over the ending credits to begin with.
