Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire 2024 by AverageMansReviews
Review Time
Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/animal
feeding/animal cruelty/animal
slavery/environmental/transformation/shooting/medical. I will be using this censored softer adult language reference at some point and you will understand why when come to it.
A massive problem is on the way: briefly; something is coming up from Hollow Earth and
we are going to need some Titans helped to get through this one, but at least
this time we are led to believe [we don't get too much background on this
individual just to cover my back;] specialist vet in the form of Trapper [Dan
Stevens:] which is a laid-back guy which also has a history with Dr. Ilene
Andrews [Dr. Ilene Andrews.]
Generally speaking: the framework and pacing of this 115 minutes film is
good, but I have to say it does feel like that some of these humans get in the
way as in, we want more without them or more with these characters and less of
those ones.
Art, Action and Comedy; the art is
truly outstanding; be it from the landscapes, scenery or/and these monsters/creatures
communicating to one another; let's begin Kong being chased and having to deal
with these creatures, so he has to kill one, so that the others would get the
idea, now after this Kong gives off the body language of; I will have to censor
what he is actually putting across as he is wiping these entrails off he is
putting across "I have this manure all on me, now I will have to take a
shower." [So he does,] next up in a rough description; after Kong has been
tricked by this new character, Kong shares his food with this character, so we
have both of them just chilling out having some food with this really striking
background [you won't be able to miss it when come across it] and finally much
later on we have Kong trying to communicate with Godzilla; as Godzilla on
seeing Kong charges for him, with Kong giving off something to the effect of
" Whoa, Whoa they need to speak to you." But Godzilla wants to do
their standard conflict
Character developments,
performances and voice performances; so as you may have gotten by now the
monsters and creatures character developments are splendid and really
progressed as I now feel that they could easily and comfortably carry a film; I
will discuss this again in a little while. The only human that stands out for
me is Kaylee Hottle as Jia; as without giving too much away she/we find out
more about her background and not forgetting her personal connection to Kong as
well so this is excellent. But the rest of the humans that speak are; well
doing a solid version as their characters and consequently their versions
reflect that, the voice performances as in the sound coming from the monsters
and/or creatures; really does so much to bring these creatures to life.
This film receives: 8/10, this film is excellent; there really is a lot to
see and experience, but if you want me to be honest I have two concerns; the
first being where does this franchise go from here and secondly yes the human
are generally speaking solid, this is purely opinion/speculation based have
they ever wondered what it would be like to do any monster project without the
human component or just note spoken word.
