Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/shooting/bodily functions/drugs/burning/cutting/animal cruelty/stabbing

We find: Captain Thaddeus Harris and Lieutenant Carl Proctor [G. W. Bailey and Lance Kinsey] snooping around/breaking and entering [there is a great discussion between these two about this] Commissioner Henry Hurst's office after hours [George R. Robertson,] as Captain Harris is trying to find something to get ahead of Commandant Eric Lassard [George Gaynes:] is still very much going senile, but as we will see later that may be useful later on in this film; he believes this is the usual kind of thing for this event, so he will play along; but for now; unfortunately Captain Harris finds a little something, but after Commandant Lassard has a little pep talk from his like family, some of his most loyal officers including a recent Cadet/Officer Thomas "House" Conklin [Tab Thacker:] he and Sargent/Lieutenant Moses Hightower [Bubba Smith] go way back; as Sargent/Lieutenant Hightower used to babysit him. But over more recent times Officer Conklin was a member of the C.O.P. Programme. Commandant Lassard chooses to go head-on with the future his officers by his side which takes us to the National Police Chiefs Convention in Miami Beach and yes Captain Harris and Lieutenant Proctor in Miami Beach as well. Let's briefly introduce a couple of new characters/performers; Sergeant Nick Lassard [Matt McCoy:] he is the nephew of Commandant Lassard and he works in Miami and now we meet his love interest for this film  Officer Kate Stratton [Janet Jones:] which Officer Nick Lassard better introduce himself properly to Officer Stratton; as unknown to him and to the viewers she is a highly trained martial artist and she is here to put on a demonstration about those martial arts, in fact she and  Sergeant Larvell Jones [Michael Winslow] as his Bruce Lee impersonation or a little and then he talks normally; as they do some sparring in this demonstration and on top of this we also have criminal activities in the backdrop as well, don't worry towards roughly around the final quarter or more it takes centre stage.

Generally speaking: the framework and pacing for this 90 minute film is good; but it does take some time for the comedy to get up to his usual speed.

Comedy/Action/Art; where in a nutshell Officer Conklin goes to show Sargent Hightower something in this magazine whilst they are on this flight to Miami and unfortunately as he in particular is quite heavy and as Sargent Hightower is likewise on the same side of the plane as it relates to the Isle the plane; the plane tilts to one side so I am paraphrasing here the flight attendant informs Officer Conklin but food is on its way so could he go back to his seat. I supremely prefer the other references to this individual's mass. Much later on in the first part of this ongoing massive action sequence; he takes the flight of stairs and then come through this door; unknown to him there is this criminal henchmen in the facility of this door; so when Officer comes through it this henchmen gets very strongly squashed behind this door to the point where there is a very clear imprint of him on this wall; it is very Looney Tunes-esque and a little time later; he drops himself from this helicopter [where he is hanging on this rope ladder] and let's just say he makes a big impact on his entrance. As I have already referenced this mass action sequence is roughly split down into two parts without giving too much away; the hotel and the outback landscape involving hovercrafts all of this is good fun and really creatively structured neat and tidy to incorporate everything it needs to either separately or collectively.

Character developments and performances; as the norm the character developments either of the newcomers or the newest returning or the returning characters/performances; still have the chemistry of the previous instalments, which really does help when the comedy isn't feeling at the usual bounce along and/or strength for this franchise.

This film receives: 8/10, this film is excellent; even though as I have already said it does take some time for the comedy to get up to the usual speed and feel like its predecessors. This film also has an award credited to its name; 1 Nominee Kids' Choice Awards, USA 1989 Blimp Award Favourite Movie
