You are sentenced to: Derek "Tooth Fairy" Thompson/Tooth
Fairy/Derek "Big Daddy" Thompson [Dwayne Johnson:] he is a
minor-league hockey player which has been given the name "Tooth
Fairy" because he is a ruthless hockey player that plays the game
incredibly hard so there is a good chance he will not count one of his
opponents teeth. He has a horrible habit of telling people the brutal truth,
which eventually lands him in front of Lily [Julie Anderson:] the head of the
Tooth Fairies which sentences him to a grand total of two weeks being a Tooth
Fairy [1 week for being a dream crusher and 1 week because Lily doesn't like it
that in the real world he gets called "Tooth Fairy." Thompson gets
given Tracy [Steve Merchant/voice by Steve Merchant:] he is a wingless tooth
fairy that has the task to make sure that Thompson fulfils his duties as a
tooth fairy and the final person we have to meet here is Jerry [Billy Crystal:]
he works on all of the accessories and gear that the tooth fairies may need.
The framework and pacing for this
101 film is straightforward as it knows what it is doing from beginning to end.
Comedy/Action:
I have to say the best comedy sequences are involving Jerry in some capacity.
Jerry is a mixture between Q from a the James Bond 007 franchise in someone
that is nice but gives zero fudges he is going to say or do whatever he likes
so we have two examples of this; he uses this amnesia dust on Thompson and
after a good amount of time repeating this sequence, he just says something to
the effect of this never get the old or/and much later on Jerry shrinks down to
take a ride on this hockey puck. Away from Jerry we have Thompson/Tooth Fairy
having teething problems as he has shrunk down and being chased by this cat,
yes it is an old reliable skip for this kind of film, but hey if it works; it
works and finally much later on Tracy brings out this modified Zamboni which
has been modified to be used as an amnesia ray on the hockey fans in
attendance.
Character developments, performances/voice performance: likewise like the storyline, framework and pacing;
these character developments follow their reliably good outlay of these
character types and the same can be said for the performances; but however the
chemistry from this cast ranges from solidly good to free-flowing.
This film receives: 6/10, this film is good; this film is perfectly
designed for a Sunday afternoon watching with a young to mixed age family
viewing. We have two ending sequences; the first provides us with a complete
ending as on the left-hand side we have this going on and on the right-hand
side ending credits and then in the second lot of credits we have this bit of
art doodles of elements of this film with voice-over in some bits. This film
also has some awards accredited to its name. 1 Winner BMI Film & TV Awards
