ISLA SORNA 207 Miles West of Costa Rica/Site B/The Five Deaths/RESTRICTED: basically; what we have is a search and rescue for these two people; Ben Hildebrand [Mark Harelik:] as best as I can tell he is a loose friend of the Kirby family that with the consent of the family has taken their son Eric Kirby [Trevor Morgan:] a resourceful boy; but after something goes wrong with their tandem paraglider as it was once connected motorboat they crash land on this location.

Sometime later Dr. Alan Grant [Sam Neill:] he is still a paleontologist working on site with/and Billy Brennan [Alessandro Nivola:] his young associate professor in paleontology get approached by Paul and Amanda Kirby [William H. Macy and Téa Leoni:] this husband-and-wife that are at I would say the early stages of going through a divorce, give Dr. Grant and his associate some flannel about a trillion motive, in reality they need Dr. Grant knowledge and experience to guide them hopefully safely around this location; for these two people and don't worry they will take some muscle with them as well.

Generally speaking: the framework and pacing is straightforward as in as this film is 92 minutes long everything fits nicely into it; But shame other than the dinosaurs and surroundings and so on and so forth.

This sequel struggles as it doesn't have Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm; there isn't any form of natural charisma and everything else he brings to the table. I mean we have another dinosaur searching excrement sequence of events as it relates to the comedy and other comedy moments which in hindsight come across as hard work.

Character developments and performances; the character developments are reliable versions of what they are meant to be, without repeating myself too much because this film doesn't have a really strong character like Dr. Ian Malcolm, we have a case of characters either crumbling under the pressure or left exposed as a weakness, because of their generic version of character type/performance of their character, the only one that should not be tarred with the same brush is Eric Kirby [Trevor Morgan;] he is a good character type of what he is in this film as a intelligent young survivor.

Art/Action; straight off the bat; yes we have some ugly green screen effects for an example when these two characters are paragliding you can very easily pick up on when it as came into effect. But minus the green screen now and again, all these dinosaurs in their habitats and action sequences such as pterodactyl nest, with more paragliding, but this time without a motorboat, it is action packed and left on a question-mark; this is a high-level of creativity and imagination and leaving things open; is I would consider to be fresh or most definitely different.

This film receives: 4/10, this film is mixed; the saving grace about this sequel is the dinosaurs’ involvements. This film also has some awards accredited to its name and this should be absolutely no surprise that some of these awards are not positive either. 5 Winners Las Vegas Film Critics Society Awards 2011 Sierra Award Best DVD "Jurassic Park Ultimate Trilogy (Blu-Ray)" Shared with: Jurassic Park · The Lost World: Jurassic Park. 16 Nominees Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films, USA from somewhere between 2002-2016 for an example Saturn Award 2002 Best Special Effects  Jim Mitchell Danny Gordon Taylor Donald Elliott John Rosengrant.
