Wasted: Natalya vs. Champ The Judgement Day's Rhea Ripley [with Dominik Mysterio;] Singles Match for the WWE SmackDown Championship at Night of Champions 2023 by AverageMansReviews - Spoilers Alarm!

Reasons for why this match/match slot qualifies to be in this series:

* The WWE shows disrespect to one of its most loyal and technically skilled wrestlers in Natalya, which also is highly respected and seen as the mother hen backstage in the female locker rooms and I mean this respectfully rightly so.

* It goes on for just over 1 minute

* In another series of content; Recommendation of: NXT Battlegrounds 2023 Link https://averagemansreviews2017.blogspot.com/2023/05/recommendation-of-wwe-night-of.html I gave this match/match slot 1/10 and I stand by that.

No one puts baby in a corner: yes for those wrestling fans or people within the wrestling bubble. I have no problem with the match result, because we all knew it needed to happen. But however I do have a problem with the time they were given, even though very, very short match outlay they had in place even in theory it is and was designed to protect Natalya or if you have seen this match/match slot I will just say let's just go with try and protect. It doesn't or didn't protect her in the slightest, because just based on these very two strong reasons; 1 Natalya has been wrestling for quite years now, so she wouldn't naturally fall for this and 2 if she does which she did it just makes her look incredibly stupid as a babyface, but then again this is the WWE and that is usually how they like their babyfaces. But there is no way in hell one of your best female wrestlers should be getting jobbed period.

I mean I don't see Roman Reigns getting jobbed out so I don't see why Natalya should be either. For the people that don't know what makes these two generation wrestlers is they represent a cornerstone of the WWF/WWE; Reigns [Anoa'i] and Natalya [Hart] and just in case some people come back to me and say; how about this wrestler that has a family connection but still got jobbed out? You see my answer to that is simple; those other names may have retired from in ring competition or gone and done something else, but when you have the generation wrestlers that has put in the time and really been a mainstay around the WWE at minimum this company should show them a little bit of respect not to be jobbed out in this manner. This is where I should really point out; if this match went for something like 5 minutes I really wouldn't have a problem here. By the way it should be noted I don't care about time restraints or whatever if you can't find another 4 minutes somewhere in this event that is tragically sad, all they had to do was cut off a little bit here and a little bit there on other things and on top of that they should have in this match/match slot made  Natalya come across as a stiff challenge, so that Ripley using the same match outlay but this slightly longer version, to put across that was harder than I anticipated, I won't take anyone for granted again, it was a good thing Dom was here. So everyone wins here; we get Ripley getting a new small wrinkle to a character and Natalya getting a little put over as she can still hang with the younger talent.

So just to finish off; yes I get what had to happen here, but I don't like how things went down to get the us from point A to point B with essentially a colossal squash match.
