Wow the DCU [DC Universe] has a big problem: basically Little Barry/Barry Allen/The Flash/Barry Allen aged 18/The Flash aged 18/other character [Younger: Ian Loh/Older: Ezra Miller:] he is a forensic chemist scientist for the Central City Police Department that unfortunately went through this metamorphosis one night to become metahuman/speedster under a disguise he is known as The Flash, he learns what gives and abilities he has, in short anything around speed. So eventually becomes up with the idea to go back in time to save his parents from their individual fates Nora Allen [Maribel VerdĂș:] she is Barry's mother and Tom Allen [Ron Livingston:] he is Barry's father and they love him very much.

The framework and the pacing of this 144 minutes film is straightforward it knows what it is doing and it sticks to plan, so as you will understand shortly this is not the problem.

Generally speaking: what do you want me to say? They have completely casted the wrong person as Barry Allen/The Flash yes I am talking about Ezra Miller; he has no personality or/and charisma, so when it is just him or/and him and him it is like nails on a chalkboard, you know everything someone says may be okay for a little time, but deep down you know you aren't going to be friends with them any time soon or in this case ever. Yes I did laugh maybe once or twice for an example when Barry Allen/The Flash tries to use his powers and without giving too much away he can't that was funny.

This is no exaggeration this would be the first time of my 15 years of experience creating content so far in various ways that I have ever said the following; the other super heroes or/and super villains cover up and make Barry Allen/The Flash either one/other character looked/sound tolerable. I mean when we have Barry Allen/The Flash communicating with Alfred Pennyworth - Bruce Wayne/Batman; Ben Affleck's 2017 version [Jeremy Irons:] the man that brought up Bruce Wayne and is not only his butler, but confidant and very experienced in the life that Master Bruce Wayne/Batman has chosen, but you have two very different levels of character developments and performances; let's just say you get everything that you expect Irons to be even for this small role and then you get what you get with our lead character/role for this film I know our lead character/role is meant to be young and naive, this was meant to be comical but on reflection nope.

So let's lean away from our lead character/role for a minute and broadly say other superhero/super villain with or without our lead character/role there is on average some substance to work with here. Bruce Wayne/Batman 1989 [Michael Keaton:] is now an old man which is retired from putting on the cape, but comes out of retirement for one last caper, likewise like Irons it's like Keaton has never left the role and he slots perfectly back in with that kind of old Bruce Wayne/Batman 1989 that you would want his version to have been. Here's action sequences and artistic costumes and so on and so forth and all that are very entertaining. I will bring up one other individual; so we have one generally speaking garbage, we have somebody old and now let's go onto somebody new  Kara Zor-El/Supergirl [Sasha Calle:] she is kryptonian from Krypton, that was sent to Earth to look after her cousin Kal-El/Clark Kent/Superman as he grew up. Kara Zor-El/Supergirl this version has more of a foot to butt mentality, which is good because sooner or later she will come up against somebody from our planet's history [obviously if you don't know I want to put it here.] But her costume looks to be an excellent interpretation with likewise excellent action sequence vs. this individual or/and individuals and not only that we actually got to see some genuine emotion from Barry Allen/The Flash/Barry Allen aged 18/other character so that can't be bad.

This speedster/The speed force: these components are very much a mixed bag; I mean the nurse and babies sequence with the dog at any point in this film gets a no from me and the speed force; this is quite dull and then it decides to take it up a notch or 10, this on the other hand is the true potential of the speed force in all its glory; highly imaginative and highly creative.

Like it or not to finish this off here are some more problems; the fact are Barry Allen/The Flash and Iris West [Kiersey Clemons:] a journalist for Central City Picture News; they go a little way back, but they have zero chemistry on-screen so if anything it is going to feel jarring you know a square block in a round hole, it isn't going to work.

Next because I have watched the DC Flash 2014-2023 version I know as some points they covered an interpretation or a similar of this storyline at some points [as it relates to this film they have fused bits from one season and it's from another that kind of thing,.] I mean I know I still have about 3 seasons to catch up on I am just waiting for it to finish airing in my country then I will get back to it. But they did it so much more better okay maybe not on the same financial level, but storytelling and everything else. Unfortunately this version of Barry Allen/The Flash/other characters [Grant Gustin] and Iris West/other characters [Candice Patton] have on-screen chemistry. I'm now wondering if Gustin would like or be interested in replacing Miller? My opinion would be simply: Yes please. So as I have just pointed out I am sure I will not be the only one making comparisons between this film and this TV program, yes absolutely you can have different interpretations and anything other different; but I mean this on a quality level they are on a completely different level

This film receives: 5/10, this film is mixed; I mean I could give this film is something slightly higher, but then I just remember how bad this film is with Miller being two characters without anyone superhero or/and villain to cover up his failures of leading his own film with his own lead character and I should point out that the person I went to watch this film with fell asleep now and again in this section of the film and this individual has said he is so boring and finally there is one ending credit right at the end of this film
