WCW Monday Nitro Season 1, Episode 4: R-E-S-P-E-C-T 25/09/1995 by AverageMansReviews
Warning: flashing effects/colourful effects/fire
Commentary Award goes to: Eric Bischoff for I am paraphrasing here is simply
pointing out The Dungeon Of Doom have taken out the majority of the Hulkamanics
minus as things stand the WCW United States Heavyweight Champion Sting.
Wrestling Award goes to: the majority of The Dungeon Of Doom vs. Some of the
Hulkmaniacs and others; [this is a combined effort between The Taskmaster Kevin
Sullivan with Zodiac vs."Macho Man" Randy Savage, The Giant goes on
the rampage with some wrestlers empty out to stop this madness including
"The Total Package" Lex Luther being here for another reason to begin
with and then finally "The Total
Package" Lex Luther vs. Meng " The Face of Terror" and the
reason why I have chosen a big section is because it rolled off one another on
to the next and so on
Promo Award goes to: video package of; the WCW World Heavyweight Champion Hulk
Hogan [with "The Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart;] where Hogan lays down a
challenge for The Dungeon Of Doom's The Giant [with The Taskmaster Kevin
Sullivan;] this challenge has two parts monster truck vs. monster truck, the
second part is Giant vs. Hogan for the WCW Heavyweight Championship at WCW
Halloween Havoc 1995; 29/10/1995 [which I have decided this will be my next
pay-per-view review] and yes Hogan makes reference to André the Giant and The
Giant being in kayfabe father and son. Next we have "Mean"Gene
Okerlund in the ring ratecapping [last week's events between "Macho
Man" Randy Savage and "The Total Package" Lex Luther] with video
replay of the last time these three were in the ring together discussing
things. This week's interview in a nutshell between these three; for next week
we have Savage vs. Lugar; if Lugar loses he gives up his title shot at Hogan at
some point down the line and so much more importantly if he loses, he must
leave WCW.
Finally "Mean"Gene Okerlund
in the ring interviews "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and Flyin' Brian and their ongoing issues
with "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and the troubles he is having getting
a tag team partner.
This episode receives: 7/10, this episode is good; as you can see there is an
ongoing theme in this episode where they either are still dealing with the
ongoing fallout of WCW Fall Brawl: War Games 17/09/1995 or/and building up to
WCW Halloween Havoc 1995; 29/10/1995.
