By hook or by crook who is the rise of the M archers: in summary this film covers the story between two
brothers Richard "Dick" McDonald [Nick Offerman:] co-creator of
McDonald's, who is the real brain behind McDonald's Maurice "Mac" McDonald [John Carroll
Lynch:] co-creator of McDonald's and really wants to make his brother's dream
happen even if it costs him his health. But eventually they meet Ray Kroc
[Michael Keaton:] in 1954, he is a struggling milkshake machine salesman; he
has the characteristics of a snake, which the brothers purchase some machines
off him. But they are unaware of his characteristics to begin with; he has big
ideas for their dreams.
The framework and pacing of this 115 minutes film is including
art and comedy in some aspects; this is all clean and tidy as it settles down
to smoothly tell/show us this story, the art comes into effect where we see
Kroc driving from location to location with these clouds in the sky there are
other artistic elements and comical moments such as this slow motion effect of
someone eating this McDonald's burger with this kind of glorious music in the
background
Character developments and performances: on both counts they are excellent, because of what I
know about these main three characters that's who they were as in real life or
just to cover my back that who it has always been told like; so Nick Offerman
as Richard "Dick" McDonald and John Carroll Lynch as Maurice
"Mac" McDonald had this wholesome image for McDonald, okay the way
they were going they were going to have a comfortable life, hard-working and
wholesome image for McDonald's. But Michael Keaton as Roy Kroc saw this family
and business with their wholesome image and saw what he could do and more
without giving too much of the film away. Keaton as Roy Kroc really does him
justice and is definitely the spearhead in this film, but also this is very
much a cast performance.
This film receives: 8/10, this film is excellent; with the story about the
rise of the M archers, with excellent well rounded performances, I decided to
award another mark based on Michael Keaton's performance, as overtime you will
understand that Roy Kroc is/wasn't a nice person and I am putting it politely.
This film has some awards accredited to its name; 1 Winner Capri, Hollywood
