Warning:
there is flashing effects/colourful effects/shooting/torture
Winner, winner chicken dinner: in a nutshell this very smart student Ben
Campbell/other characters [Jim Sturgess:] MIT mathematics student is time to
get into Harvard Medical School, but he needs $300,000 yes he could get a
scholarship but that only goes to one person each year, which brings us on to
basically his science lecturer Micky
Rosa/other character [Kevin Spacey:] after doing a little bit of research on his student, it
quickly dawns on him that he can put Ben's skills to a very lucrative use for
both concerned and that is without giving too much away, making him a new
member of his unit that takes trips to Las Vegas at the weekend. I really can't
say it too much more than that, but to quickly add Cole Williams [Laurence
Fishburne:] is someone that you don't want to get on the wrong side of, even
though he is on the right side of the law.
The
framework and pacing of this 123 minutes film is good, it has a story to tell
and it gets on with it.
Action/Art: Blackjack/21 sequences, there is also a gun being fired and torture by punching and
as it relates to the art we get to see the bright lights of Las Vegas from an
aeroplane.
Comedy, character developments and
performances: there are comedy bits and pieces
as most of this cast are performing as students, you get that kind of comedy
level. The character developments and performances; are on both counts good
versions of what they are meant to be.
This film receives: 6/10, this film is good; it is a solidly good film,
apologies it is one of those rare occasions where, I really don't have too much
to say, but as I have already referenced, it has a story to tell and it gets on
with it. This film has some awards accredited to its name 1 Winner ShoWest
