Before and a little after the grill: in a nutshell; this is the life story of George Foreman/Pastor George Foreman [Younger: Kei Rawlins/Kei/Older:Khris Davis:] a boy/man from a very poor background finds the world of boxing until god calls upon him. Doc Broadus [Forest Whitaker:] a good man that is the first intervention that turns Foreman's life around, introduces him into the world of boxing and trains him.

The framework and pacing of this 129 minutes film is good as it smoothly including narration/voice over from George Foreman/Pastor George Foreman [Khris Davis] now and again as this film covers the lowers, very highs and everything in the middle of his life.

Action/Art: yes we get the high standard boxing match sequences, I don't mean to sound blasé, but in my defence I do come from the generation of the Rocky/Creed franchise and at the end of the film we get to see a comparison thing of real life photos on one side and on the other we have this film's interpretation which is also a high standard of an interpretation.

Comedy/Character and performances: there are comedy bits here and there, but obviously I have to bring up Sullivan Jones as Muhammad Ali: one of the best ever boxers [full disclosure I am not really into boxing,] but having said this I know for a fact he is the best talker in boxing by an unlimited distance, he is what Dwayne " The Rock" Johnson is to the world of wrestling and Jones portrays Ali to faultless performance and at some point in the future; hopefully this film will pick up some at least nominees based on this supporting role, but on reflection I will add another mark. But generally speaking now the character developments and performances are good; good chemistry throughout this cast.

This film receives: 7/10, this film is good; it is informative, as I have already indicated a smooth watch, it just depends if you like this kind of films.
