This is not worth watching for 148 minutes: basic description; Bly Tanaka [Hiroyuki Sanada:] a very
wealthy man that has $200 million in this vault underneath the strip which the
insurance people have paid out already $200 million, but he wants Scott Ward [Dave
Batista:] which has already faced the current problem in Las Vegas and has
received the Medal of Freedom saving the Secretary of Defence from these
zombies which there are different gradings of them [likewise you will find out
when you watch this film,] it wasn't just him it was his unit [the opening credits
sequence will fill you in,] he also has an estranged daughter by the name of
Katie Ward [Ella Purnell:] we will meet her later she has her own mission, she
can go on her own or with her dad's unit it is up to him. But back to the
present times; Mr.Tanaka offers Ward $50 million of the $200 million, to split
up anyway he sees fit between the unit he has put together to get the job done.
The framework and pacing of this
148 minutes film is just way, way, way too long to the point where you could
easily just taken off 48 minutes and compact the film. If you're thinking I am
joking I am not, in fact I have just rounded up to give it 100 minutes to work
with in an ideal world. But as things are; the framework and pacing is
functional, meaning it does its job but after some time it does get tedious.
Which consequently you would be
right in thinking the character developments and performances suffer because of
this. They are a mixture between somewhere like safe and reliable to in two
cases I am sure they didn't do the background work the main zombies or/and Ward
and Maria Cruz [Ana de la Reguera:] a member of Ward's old and current unit, in
fact her character developments tragically falls into a predictable outcome and
I can't say too much more than that. But if you have watched as much content as
I have you will understand when I say well that was predictable. But the hard
reality is these character types are left exposed, because of this long time
frame, there is no way enough depth or smooth chemistry, yes most of these
characters are out for themselves and they don't like each other so you get
consistently characters having a dig at one another or stabbing each other in
the back in some way. But I will give the performers are break and say what
they had to work with they tried to make something with it [this is a polite
way of saying it wasn't on the cast itself and I am trying to shield them a
bit] and finally there is some comedy elements in here like when we have Ludwig
Dieter [Matthias Schweighöfer:] he is a new member of this unit and he is the
vault cracker; for one example stopping this mental imagery of how this plan is
going to go down, because in a nutshell he informs everybody that he has never
shot a gun, the question goes around from Ward who else hasn't shot a gun?
These hands go up, they discuss it and then we go back to this sequence of the
plan with it being unfrozen and yes we have good action comedy bits with human
beings characters being squashed and likewise zombies being squashed with plenty
of messy and bloody action sequences.
Yes the art are combined with the
action has to be seen as positives for its highest imagination and creativity
used such as this landscape, the zombies including a white tiger zombie. So it
should be no surprise to you for me to make this statement based on my
opinion/viewing experience; yes this film is guilty of having problems, but
using its assets like it's visual outlay to try and cover up the its weaknesses
essentially covering over the cracks.
This film receives: 4/10, this film is mixed; I couldn't give this film
anything any less or likewise anymore because of what I have said in this
content, it also does something on reflection annoying it leaves things open
for a sequel. So I am just going to ask this really sensible question; so 148
minutes wasn't long enough to put out a decent film then? For my consistent
viewers yes I usually put in dividers in my content, but in this case it would
have just made things a bit more complicated and finally don't do what I did
and that was get confused between this film and the Anime TV program well [6
episodes] at some point in 2023 I don't know too much about this. This film has
some awards accredited to its name such as 1 Winner Academy Awards, USA Oscar
2022 Fan Favourite and 4 Nominees that includes Academy of Science Fiction,
Fantasy & Horror Films, USA 2022 Saturn Award Best Make-Up Justin Raleigh
Ozzy Alvarez Kevin Kirkpatrick Victoria Down.
