Average Extra of: Jeremy Clarkson Has Sincerely Apologised, Now The Duke & Duchess Need To Do The Same To Oprah Winfrey 2023 by AverageMansReviews

A friendly heads up: I will probably say something you don't want to hear, so you have been warned.

Real Talking Time:

This is an update from this content Average Extra of: The Hypocrisy of the United Kingdom & the United States of America towards Jeremy Clarkson 2022 if you want to catch up Link https://averagemansreviews2017.blogspot.com/2022/12/average-extra-of-hypocrisy-of-united.html

Now in short of Monday 16/01/2023 Amazon Prime has parted ways with Jeremy Clarkson over his comments about Megan Markle. In fact Clarkson has now issued a genuine apology to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stating the following " One of strange things I've noticed in recent times is that whenever an MP or a well-known person is asked to apologise for something, no matter heartfelt or profound that apology may be it's never for the people who called for it in the first place.

So I'm going to try and buck the trend this morning with an apology for the things I said in a Sun column recently about Megan Markle I really am sorry. All the way the balls of my feet to the follicles on my head. This is me putting my hand up. It's a mea  culp with bells on."

But before I start speaking it has just come to my attention that another Jeremy Clarkson Instagram message has surfaced on another social media platform from Jeremy Clarkson and yes I am smart enough to look into it and it's genuine source.

"I knew what happened straight away. I'd better think of a scene out of  Game of Thrones, but I'd forgotten to mention this. So it looked like I actually calling for revolting violence to rain down on Megan Markle's head.

I was angry at myself because in all controversial days on Top Gear when I was accused of all sorts of things, it was very rarely sexism. We never did “Women can't park" gags for instance. Or suggesting that powerful car is where only for men. And I was thrilled when Jodie Kidd and Ellen MacArthur said fastest ever laps in our reasonably priced car. I'm just not sexy and I abhot violence against women. And yet I seemed to be advocating just that."

Yes it is true it is very true that they have parted company, but on some research, I should point out as it goes for 2023 we will still be getting Grand Tour and Clarkson's Form, when Clarkson's contract is up in 2024 they just won't renew it, I want to know why Amazon have taken the side of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex? Yes I have already seen at least one comment on a social media platform essentially saying business and yes I have been around films and TV long enough to know it is their right to part ways, but if this is going to be Amazon's approach, why stop there may be they want to look at themselves and actually look after their staff better, if you are getting confused between what I'm saying here I am not gaslighting. I am talking about  an exercise in a public image, if you want to get rid of Clarkson which is their choice, maybe on the other side of their public image you may want to treat your staff better, because as everyone knows they have to work very hard in difficult situations, Before someone points it out, yes I am aware that Amazon probably has mainly to different sections the shopping side and/or Amazon Prime, but this point can still be added on the whole as I am talking about Amazon.

Here's a final comment from Clarkson “I therefore wrote to everyone who works with me saying how sorry I was, and then on Chroistmas morning, I emailed Harry and Meghan in California to apologize too. I was baffled by what they had been saying on TV but the language I used in my column was disgraceful and I was profoundly sorry.”

But here's my problem with this whole situation is that Clarkson has said these things which is becoming more and more irrelevant and yes I get they were unpleasant for some people. But it seems to me on one hand where we have this up-and-coming generation that seems to be under the impression that they have the freedom of speech to use in any way they see fit, but if anyone older like me which I am heading into my 40's or Clarkson in his 60's at this point push back on this new world, that we are wrong and I have never condoned Clarkson using this language, but having said that I have more better things to worry about.

Whilst on the other hand and this is going to gaslight some people, but in today's world I am quickly realising this is a very easy thing to do even with making an excellent point. If Clarkson has to apologise for his comments in this article at the end of 2022? Which he has now clearly done shouldn't the Duke and Duchess of apologise to Oprah Winfrey for essentially using her in their Oprah with Meghan and Harry 2021 interview where it is clearly being implied the Duchess is implying that The Royal Family are racist as it relates to their son Archie and what helps the Duchess to put this over to the audience is Winfrey's response, so this is more like 80% the Duchess, then and the Duke and 20% Winfrey, because Winfrey I think believes that she was dealing with two honest people and she was trying to politely talk about it difficult subject of racism in an adult manner.

But in another interview just roughly 2 years later the Duke in another interview this time with Tom Bradby in 2023 debunked this allegation of insinuation of racism against The Royal Family in a nutshell saying it was the British press that done this.

I have seen both of these interviews with I can with me being unbiased tell you the straight up in all honesty, the way that this part of the Oprah interview was played out is in my mind absolutely no question of what was being implied here and at no point in this interview did this husband-and-wife correct Oprah in the interview or after or indeed in the subsequent months or roughly 2 years until this interview with Bradby and in a little while I will tell you why.

What I am about to say next is speculation/based on my opinion and I have said this or something to this effect on social media as well; I do believe that the Duchess or/and the Duke let things play out this way, because it helped their case to imply racism against The Royal Family. The Duke and Duchess actually won an award,Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope award for their activism on racial justice and mental health. On a quick side note if there was no racial justice to be had here, now the Duke has debunked these allegations shouldn't they give the award back? On a quick side note and this is speculation again I do believe that there may have been some talk of ethnic background as it relates to Archie, but I have to quickly point out that these comments were probably from the old, old guard of the Royal Family, before people start pressing the panic button, I mean this from the perspective of they are older and regardless of how you want to dress it up these members of our family's are not always up-to-date on political correctness.

But he is why I strongly believe now without question why this couple of outings to play out this way, on both sides of the coin it was a win, win situation again on one hand we have shade being thrown at The Royal Family which served this couple's purpose for back then and on the other hand when it is time to change plan, they have plausible deniability which they have played this plan to perfection, because the only one that looks a little bit silly after everything is said and done is Oprah I should quickly add not in my eyes Oprah is a legend, but I am talking about a plan to plan strategy, you see I am very streetsmart.

So to finish this off if Clarkson has apologised, I think that the Duke and Duchess should apologise to this cornerstone of American culture mostly in TV land but also films as well in Oprah Winfrey and be for I have feedback calling me gaslighting or a racist or something stupid to that effect. Can I just make these final three points; 1. I am not gaslighting, I am talking about equality and being equal and 2. The last time I looked the Duchess and the Queen of talk shows were both African-Americans so there is nothing racial here.3. Just to cover my back for the final time yes I don’t know if the Duke or Duchess has or has not got in contact with Winfrey to apologise or not, probably not but I needed to add this bit in to cover my back regardless.
