Comments: as you can see from my attribute markings the only good things
about this match/match slot is the surrounding contributing factors. This is
opinion, I was going to say something like what we have here is two green
wrestlers, but this is partly not the case. Because roughly at this point Nailz
[Kevin Patrick Wacholz] had been wrestling for 10 years at this point, even
though Virgil [Michael Jones] made his wrestling debut in 1985, but let's be
completely honest up to this point and up to this day is best associated with
"The Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase and he was a member of the
N.W.O. [New World Order] and on a quick side note yes Ted Dibiase was a member
as well. But I digress Virgil isn't best remembered for his all-round wrestling
abilities or as a made reference to in the previous Spoiler Alarm Version as it
relates to this pay-per-view, his promo before this match is terrible, he was
an on-screen character which wrestled a bit and when I say it bit I mean taking
into consideration the standard length of anybody's career.
So as it relates to this match; it goes
as well as you expect it to go really, it roughly goes on for 4 minutes with
incredibly basic wrestling, with Virgil going a sloppy clothesline out of the
corner [it is a falling clothesline out of the corner] with Nailz selling for Virgil with rebounding off the ropes with Virgil a dropkick which is sloppy as well. But to be fair Nailz isn't much better either there many in one way or another choking
or heel bits and pieces. This is one of those occasions where a squash match
would have been better, I know it doesn't do much for the loser, I am talking
from the perspective of protecting both of these performers from not looking
this weak in a roundabout way as in by using this it would have potentially
hidden all of this and potentially got given high marks, I should state we will
never know but if they tried to hide some of this it would have looked better,
but to finish this match on a positive it was as I have already made reference
to a short match so it is quick and painless in the scheme of things.
Basic Result: Nailz picks up the W.
Briefly things to know:
* King Bobby "The Brain"
Heenan & Vince McMahon: there is aftermath of this match.
* Lord Alfred Hayes: is investigating
the whereabouts of Mr. Perfect is whilst he is banging on the locker room door
of the WWF Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage, I am paraphrasing here
he will keep us posted.
* "Mean" Gene Okerlund: interviews "Sensational" Sherry about this ongoing situation between her man "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, "The Model" Rick Martel and herself including footage of what "Mean" Gene is making reference to and Sensational says I came up with this added thing to their match which is coming up next, both competitors have agreed not to hit each other in the face, Because based on her opinion they are gorgeous.
* Howard Finkel: Ring announcer
introduces the next match.
