Storyline/Character
[Character developments]/Art/Action/Comedy/Performances: all these components combined in one way or
another; this film is set down in the model between Hard Target 1993 starring
Jean-Claude Van Damme and The Condemned 2007 starring Steve Austin and it also
uses these character types minus one character/performer which I will discuss
later [now if you don't know anything about these three films; you are either
the Hunter or the Hunted and if you survive you get a reward,] the ending of
this film leaves it on a question-mark of what happened next? Which if you have
been following me long enough unless it is a weird or if it was a
location-based film [meaning it began here so when everything has been resolved
this film ends when we leave location the film ends which in hindsight this
film is, but it brings up Malone family; but we never see any of this] or a
part of a series of films I don't like, I really don't like question-mark
endings, it just feels even a lazy way to finish a project or I have invested
my time in watching this at minimum I want a solid ending and the pacing is
likewise safe and reliable.
But however this title right here and
right now is just a pile of manure, even though it uses these storylines and
character types which in theory should have been something safe and reliable it
turns out to be anything but as the Hunters keep turning on one another and the
Hunted [Malone/Willis; if you ever wondered what if John McClane/Willis from
the Die Hard franchise would be like if he ever got thrown into
prison well this film will show you a little bit of what he could be like; but
I digress] is watching from a distance using beautiful landscapes and scenery
to hide in or behind; this island is called Apex Island or this science fiction
and scenery and so on; these Mongrels [this is an option that can be bought in
the game so this is what Dr. Samuel Rainsford/McDonough; they are Bounty
Hunters are brought/brought into the game by the game runner [West/Fast; this
is a real person, but she appears as a hologram as well; the hologram looks
highly creative] or these two Mongrels are searching for Malone/Willis, one of
these Mongrels has a bazooka on him, Malone/Willis shoots this one from
distance; shoots him and whilst he is dying he sets off this bazooka which not
only make sure he is dead but also kills the other one as well and without
giving too much away these two bullets colliding near to the end of this film
these are good positives.
The performances are mostly poor, it
wastes the talents of Willis, McDonough and Alexia Fast puts in a performance
to hang out on the porch with Willis and McDonough.
This film receives: 2/10, this film is poor; I know I have spoken
about positives which this film has, but it is one of those occasions where;
you put it all together and we find ourselves here, but if you are a fan of
individually or together Bruce Willis or/and Neal McDonough take a look at this
film or take a look at Alexia Fast, but with this project I wouldn't expect too
much.
