DC's Batwoman [Season 2,] Episode 25:
Gore on Canvas by AverageMansReviews
Review Time:
4 things about this episode
Warning: there is flashing/other effects/medical/drugs/torture/suicide/flesh wound/stabbing. Now I will give you a second warning just of courtesy and professionalism there are going to be some things said in this review that there are some of you that are going to probably/more than likely hate what I'm going to say, so you have been warned.
Evan Blake/Wolf Spider hoist: as he with great quickness and agile ability tries to
steal this very valuable and highly sought after piece of art done by Jack
Napier a.k.a. The Joker, but however Wilder/Batwoman tries to stop him; these
Action components are good. [Yes I know I have mentioned to action sequences,
this is just because they are in the same building and they are a little time
after one another.]
I am so fed up with Ryan Wilder or
Ryan Wilder/Batwoman: Characters
[Character developments;] this is an excerpt; Wilder/Batwoman: "This isn't
about me. This is about us working as a team, this team and how I can't keep
working for your approval. I wanted to suit up not have you comparing to Kate Kane for once. So
I agreed to partner with the crows, and for what? You sided with the guys that
shot your old man [she is referring to Fox and saying this to his face whilst
Hamilton is trying to fix up Blake/Wolf Spider which he is very much a critical
condition, but I digress we continue] your taste sucks. [She now looks at both
of them back and forth with her head.] But you know what? I wear a suit; I take
the bullets, so when I say I have a bad feeling about something, you to listen."
Now I want to make these things
crystal clear this has nothing to do with racism or the fact I am Caucasian, my
points go much deeper than that. Ryan Wilder or Ryan Wilder/Batwoman is what is
wrong with everything in the modern world today in 2021. She expects to be
given these things or the right to speak when let's not forget she stole the
Batwoman suit in the first place and on top of that she has only been doing
this job for over a month and now she is demanding Fox and Hamilton to get in
line, even though they have been doing this kind of thing for longer than she
has and to be perfectly honest I did think she is really throwing her rattle
out of the pram here" and I did give a hand gesture mixed in with a blunt
adult way of saying go away to this; whilst watching this episode.
Because in one way or another this TV
program uses these social politics ticking cards [as in African-American,
lesbian, and undeserving but willing and has the arrogance to take on the
mantle of Batwoman without the willingness to learn or think she knows
everything even though she has just been in the door for five minutes and it
freely makes use of these things whenever this TV program wants to.
To cover my back at the beginning I
was patient and understanding each to their own, but that ever so quickly ran out, because
firstly I don’t like things being shoved in my face or rammed down my throat
and secondly there are other people of other backgrounds that don’t get this
level of exposure and the more you read of this
blog, the more you will get at the very least I am more than easily qualified to say these
things; respectfully and without disrespect. This is why I don't support Black
Lives Matter or anything to do with taking the knee [in soccer,] and yes if at
some point I happen to date someone which was of dark origins [I like all kinds
of women from different backgrounds just for the record] and they asked me
politely "I know you don't support BLM and they get the reason why, but it
would mean a lot if you supported me." I would say okay I will do it for
you.
Yes I have booed and raised a hand
gesture or switched over the channel and switch back when it is over and put
something on social media about taking the knee before soccer matches
[absolutely nothing racial,] because I
am not that kind of guy, but nowadays I just ignore it or try to without saying
or doing anything.
Now let's see how many of you are at
the very least intelligent enough to listen to me before cancelling me or being
outraged. Now just to highlight this again somewhere at the beginning I did say
my points go much deeper and no I am not justifying myself to you and in no way
shape or form am I comparing myself to in short African-Americans or anyone
else and I am absolutely not condoning any form of racist abuse of any kind and
it shouldn't be happening in our modern world, but it is; I am just saying this
is how things are for me in the UK; I am physically disabled, with separately a
mental health illness on top. The amount of abuse I have to put up with on a
daily basis be it online or the real world is disgusting. It can range from
being seen as a third-rate citizen to being seen as a scum on the bottom of
your shoe, to being told I am not very good looking to body shaming to being
told to go and commit suicide to my disability or mental health or I am a man
and I haven't had the option to do these things and even if I did have the
option I wouldn't do these things being thrown in my face or held against me
for an example or examples dating or sexual activities.
That's enough I think you get the
point; but based on lots of experience if I was to body sham a woman or hold my
previous experience with women against this one individual, which I wouldn't I
would absolutely disgust, because it explains why a lot on many subjects, but I
would like to drop them and learn how to be different [and for those that are
thinking or saying "Why don't you drop them now?" Because it is learn
behaviour and this is all I know and have become custom to, but however for me
to learn how to be different, I would have to be treated different [much better
by the new woman, I have said much better just based on the standard of
treatment being so low and yes I would mostly within reason take on any
shortcomings she has as well.] I digress; but I would be deemed as a chauvinist
pig; yes I have done this quite a few times just to show the woman in question;
so if I was to ask you or make any of these comments you don't like it? And
more to the point where now using the vulnerable woman routine and yes they would
sit there and argue for a while with me but they couldn't get or wouldn't get
the connection between equality or if I was to drop the African-American
terminology [the word I cannot say, the backlash would be swift and severe.]
But if you take just one thing from
this blog it is a very small thing, but ultimately a massive thing; racial
abuse or anything racial is a criminal action, while if anyone uses the words
like spastic [yes I am entitled to use that word based on the grounds I am one
or likewise cripple] and I wanted a criminal case brought against this
individual this would be a civil matter [I would have to pay and if I won I
would get my money back] criminal you don't have to pay [I must highlight again
in the UK.] So yes there may be elements of our society including my own are
moving forward as it relates to evolving, but there are many of us which are
getting left behind so far behind it may as well be the 1980's again, I mean
legally we don't even get the same kind of coverage and everyone knows it as I
have just illustrated, so it is acceptable for people like myself and many
others seem and treated this way.
So no I am not a racist, I am just
looking for equality and I am not taking anything away from anyone, but I would
recommend changing the knee or the fist to be a multi-colour paper flower as to
illustrate if we want to live in a civilised society we accept all from every
kind of background and flowers are to symbolise we are peaceful and, easy to
grow and they are easy to spread and the more we spread the more we drown out
those that talk toxic bile and yes I am very much aware soccer in my country
take the knee not for BLM or [they show it different sign of respect in cases
which one example I have just seen when this was first dictated was Birmingham
city vs. Derby County; both teams just go around the centre circle on their own
behalf and be respectful; the Derby County team was closer to cover and yes we
had one black player give the hand gesture for BLM that is his choice, Which I
had to quickly remind myself of this as I was just about to extend a finger at
my TV screen, yes I may be a good man, but as you can probably tell by now I
can be hard, when as I have already illustrated, my patience has been exhausted
or put in my face or rammed down my throat. Now this is just encase I have to
put up this blog again; the soccer match I am making reference to happen on
Friday 10/09/2021,] but now or for equality and to kick racism out of all
kinds, but this is just an educated observation how about having your own
symbol of unity, by getting both teams to stand around the centre circle at the
beginning of every match with a multi-coloured soccer ball with a word or
letters of every background in small text on this ball and encourage the attendance
make as much positive sounds as possible; the symbolism is simple "All are
welcome and all will be protected around the world in our family of
soccer" that sounds from the attendance is also symbolic, together we can
drown out those that want to spread their own level of hatred as to say
"We will not tolerate this anymore." Or another way is to simply do
what this soccer match I had recently made reference to in this blog, either
way it would bring more people like myself which are not racist, but it would
bring us on side to what they are trying to achieve.
Beth Kane/Alice & Ocean: this Storyline component is good.
This episode receives: 4/10, this episode is mixed; this episode just does
enough to get given this mark; I have highlighted the three positives in this
episode the two Action elements and the Storyline component of Alice &
Ocean, I haven't said much about the last one, because I needed to focus on
Wilder or Ryan Wilder/Batwoman, because unfortunately she is the lead character
in this TV program, but don't worry I will be focusing on Beth Kane/Alice and
Ocean in the next episode review.
