In-depth Predictions/Other elements for WWE WrestleMania 37/2021: Night 1 by AverageMansReviews
Just a quick heads up: these matches may be in the wrong order.
Lana & Naomi vs. Dana Brooke
& Mandy Rose vs. The Riott Squad [Liv Morgan & Ruby Riott] vs. Natalya
& Tamina vs. Carmella & Billie Kay: Tag Team Turmoil Match, Winners
face Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships on
Night 2; my pick is Natalya & Tamina, my
original pick was going to be Lana & Naomi, because they are the ones that
are mostly getting pushed kind of; of what I have heard/seen which are crumbs.
But it crossed my mind that, because the WWE doesn't think much of these Championships;
either way Natalya & Tamina win or Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler retain
here, everything stays basically as the status quo. Meaning either outcome
these two teams are basically in a similar model and yes I am very much aware I
have chosen the most unlikable outcome, but probably the most reasonable based
on the grounds of thinking like the WWE hierarchy and they really couldn't give
two dumplings about these Championships.
Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins: Singles
Match; my pick is Seth Rollins, I know this
conclusion is a bit inevitable, but why didn't they spice this match up a
little by putting a No1 Contenders Stipulation in place for the Universal
Championship at WWE Money in the Bank 2021. Additional; I originally I was under the impression that this was the next Pay-Per-View it isn't; next up is WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2021,] so one of these two Pay-Per-View would have been a good idea and this wouldn't be long-term booking which we know this company cannot do at the best of times, this would be something could achieve if they wanted to as it is something between short-term and long-term booking. But then again in the WWE's eyes this will probably be interpreted as long-term booking, so they would most likely be incapable of doing this; Even though it would make the Main Event picture on the SmackDown look as if it is thriving and in-depth.
Braun Strowman vs. Shane McMahon:
Steel Cage Match; my pick is Shane
McMahon, with a big guy debut on the Main Roster, yes I am going with this kind of narrative
used from WWF St. Valentine's Day Massacre: In Your House Sunday 14/02/1999
where Paul White made himself known to the WWF [debut] and yes before the historians
come after me I am aware his impact screwed up things for Mr. McMahon at the
time against "Stone Cold" Steve Austin which was not White's
intentions [in storyline.] But back to the present times I expect someone to
get involved in this match to assist Shane McMahon to pick up the W.
AJ Styles & Omos vs. the WWE Raw
Tag Team Champions The New Days [Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods:] Tag Team
Match for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships; my pick is AJ Styles & Omos, now I can't be the only
one that sees basically HBK Shawn Michaels & Diesel kind of dynamic between
Styles & Omos, so I don't know how much wrestling training Omos has but
whilst having these Championships they can turn him into a solid wrestler that
is all good and with having Styles beside him, you couldn't get much more of a
better trainer or mentor.
Bad Bunny & Damian Priest vs. The
Miz & John Morrison:Tag Team Match; my
pick is Bad Bunny & Damian Priest,
because there is no value in The Miz & John Morrison winning here they can
take the hit end of story.
Drew McIntyre vs. the WWE Champion
Bobby Lashley [with MVP:] Singles Match for the WWE Championship; my pick is Drew McIntyre, I really couldn't care about
this match now and the WWE hierarchy specifically Mr. McMahon only has himself
to blame here. I mean there is/was absolutely no reason to split up The Hurt
Business at this point especially two weeks before this year's WrestleMania;
they had so much more in the tank creatively to work with, okay Mr. McMahon
wants to give McIntyre this live reaction of a crowd as he recaptures the WWE
Championship, so why didn't he come up with the idea of Alexander and Benjamin
turning their back on Lashley and MVP in the match, consequently splitting up
The Hurt Business [giving Alexander and Benjamin a solid looking tag team to be
put in the Raw Tag Team Division eventually,] instead of being absolutely
buried for the recent past week's on RAW, which in turn protects Lashley from
the loss at WrestleMania.
I mean as I have already said I do
believe they had so much more in the tank as a faction, but at least my way
everyone in this situation is left in a good position. I was generally
interested in this match at one point; it had this big time Main Event feel and
on the biggest stage in all of professional wrestling; WrestleMania, I can't
stress this enough the WWE couldn't have lost on one side we had Drew McIntyre
vs. the WWE Champion The Hurt Business Bobby Lashley with MVP: Singles Match
for the WWE Championship; will Drew McIntyre overcome the odds stacked against
him as the rest of The Hurt Business are watching over this match and their two
brothers in arms? I mean this is how you build a big match feel and more
importantly getting people to want to watch your product WWE.
The more I spend thinking and talking
about this; it infuriates me, because the WWE had everything on not just a
silver platter, they had everything on a white gold platter where any outcome
would have been a pleasing outcome for everyone and I know I have said this
already, but I just want to stress this again the WWE couldn't lose here, they
just couldn't have lost with any outcome. All they had to do was not do one
thing, just one thing! And that was to break up The Hurt Business!
I have made reference to this many
times in many different ways the sooner Mr. McMahon is forcibly removed or
six-foot under the better it will be for not only the WWE but wrestling in
general. Because as far as I am concerned this is just another example of why
this individual should be of the very least forcibly removed from his position,
I am not exaggerating here but as I have made it crystal clear there is just so
many positive things to do and more importantly money making opportunities here
as well and yes I haven't been watching any of this but of what I have heard
and seen from other people's content The Hurt Business as a faction or as
individual characters/performers people tune in to see them and it has
galvanized these four members careers, so what I am also saying is Mr. McMahon
is a detriment to the WWE financially as well.
I mean he is the only one that wanted
to break up this faction and he likes to remind people that he has all the
power, within his Universe and Company when he sees fit to do so, I mean I
found this out from a reliable source but even there has been rumours
circulating that they are deliberately putting poor and detrimental content TV
programming on RAW which based on their go-home for WrestleMania 37/2021
episode Monday 05/04/2021 of RAW 1.7 million viewers, if it was their intention
to get a low figure of numbers for what should have been a easy episode to get
bigger numbers just based on a little thing being it is your biggest night of
the year WrestleMania right around the corner I would deem this as a great
success, if it was their intention to get a small figure in.
Bianca Belair vs. the SmackDown
Women's Champion Sasha Banks: Singles Match for the SmackDown Women's
Championship; my pick is Bianca Belair, this is
another match at one point I was interested in, but because of everything we
have been through to get here, I just now don't care and no I am not being a
sexist here you can blame the WWE for taking something really interesting and
engaging and straightening it out to something I can now go "meh" to.
All they had to do was go with the
safe and reliable narrative feud builder of the new kid on the block wanting to
overthrow the current Champion; you can only do this kind of thing and
obviously with the individual being new to the Main Roster on either Roster
once because of the new kid on the block thing or let them have won the WWE
Women's Tag Team Championships to either do this with whatever you can do I can
do better or go for this implosion angle straight away, I know the previous two
options are a little bit tedious, considering it looked like they were doing
this implosion angle thing with Charlotte and the Raw Women's Champion Asuka
before plans changed.
But for Belair and Banks this should be a good match, but as I have previously indicated I am mentally finding it hard to get excited about this match, one final thing it has been speculated or leaked [or either way all these Championships over this WrestleMania weekend are going to change hands, But we should all know by now how quickly Mr. McMahon may or may not change his mind at any time.]
