Pay-Per-View Rewind of: WWF/WWE No Way Out 27/02/2000: Match 1/Part 1 by AverageMansReviews - Spoiler Alarm!

Chosen by you/me: I sent this out a little while ago now; what Pay-Per-View in decade do I review next? I am working on your previous selection right now and I got 50-50 on 2000 -2010 and 2010 -2020+, I even tried yesterday with just putting up these two options and I didn't get any votes back so I chose this Pay-Per-View.

Match/Stipulations: the European Champion Kurt Angle vs. the Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho [with Chyna in his corner:] Singles Match for the Intercontinental Championship

Match Attributes:

Match Quality: 7/10

Match Storyline: 5/10

Crowd Participation: 9/10

On Commentary: Jerry “The King" Lawler & Jim Ross 7/10

Satisfying Conclusion: 5/10

Recommend Watch: 6/10

Match Total: 39/60 - this match is good

Comments: as I have already said this match is good, the biggest problem with this match is the design of the ending; basically dusty finish good, having two Referees argue about it bad. I say that based on the grounds of; this is just the First Match on this Card and this feels and looks like overkill; they didn't need these two Referees [Earl Herbner and Tim White with Chyna there as well, Chris Jericho laying on the mat realizing what has just happened] are discussing this conclusion and because they have done this two Referees discussion/argue thing they could potentially do this only one more time a on this Pay-Per-View; this kind of second Referee angle thing only has a very limited number of times it can be used so no more than twice if at all.]

Because your fan base will eventually inquire to "Why don't they have two Referees per match, one in the ring and one Backstage looking on a screen with both of them being radio connected to one another so they can communicate?"

In this case the WWF/WWE would have to say "We don't know" which would in turn make themselves look stupid [logic hole.] So what they should have done is just used the safe and reliable format of a dusty finish; straightforward it achieved everything that it had to achieve and forget about the two Referees thing on top end of story.

Basic Results: the European Champion Kurt Angle is your New Intercontinental Champion
