The Transformers 1984 -- 1987 [Season 3, Volume 2, Disc 8] Episode 78: Surprise Party  by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode is good

Storyline/Back stories: the storyline is good and the back stories get discussed in the dialogue exchanges.

Action sequences/Artistic visions: on both counts in these two examples; in the first example we have the Combaticons vs. the Autobots [and Spike Witwicky] there is a lot of carnage in this sequence. Now moving on to the second example; later on we have this one-on-one action sequence Ultra Magnus vs. Cyclonus you can always guarantee that these one-on-one sequences are going to be hard hitting and this one delivers.

Character developments/Bloopers: this episode in one way or another is designed to put across to the viewers; Ultra Magnus as a character as for another one example Ultra Magnus cover up Autobots [Wheelie] and takes a shot for him.

The Bloopers; the first one is where Wheelie's voice is coming out of Daniel Witwicky's mouth [in The Hall of Records talking to this librarian robot] and the second one is where we have the turning of the two insignias and we should get the legendary sound that accompanies this small yet legendary component to these episodes. But instead the continuing background music from the previous scene to the next scene.

This episode receives: 7/10, this episode has been difficult to mark, I mean there is a high level of imagination and creativity and so on but I just chose the mark which gave me less of a headache at this time [when I finished dictating this blog.]
