Review Time: this film is good
Fundamental elements: there are
voice-over elements, background music, cultural elements, slow-motion effects,
no subtitles when another language is being used, interpreter elements, time
jumps and place jumps.
Storyline: it knows what it is doing from
beginning to end, but it is good nonetheless, I just can't tell you too much
about it because it uses the formula of; our lead character/we will find out in
the end.
Action sequences: there are weapons being used, combat and chasing. There isn't much to
say about them really, they fulfil their purpose in this project.
Character developments/Performances: the character developments are at their heart something safe and
reliable, there is chemistry/friction [depending where you are in this title is
depending what you get.] But even though these character developments are
something safe and reliable, it also does depend on the performer or performers
in question like for two examples; you could have Reeves and Evans or Reeves
and Laurie [or different numbers of characters/performers on screen.] My point
here is this; it is down to these performers in this cast if they want their
chemistry/friction to have some fluency or something behind it in one way or
another or if they want their connection to just do the job that it is designed
to.
This film receives: 7/10, as I have already said this film is good; on a quick side note
it does have a question-mark of an ending to it of "What happened
next?" But as an ending goes it is okay, I mean it works [I am not talking
about the ending; I am talking about this style of ending.]
