Review Time: this title is mixed
Fundamental elements: there are words and numbers on screen, voice-over
elements, cultural elements, background music, yes and no to subtitles being
used when another language is being used, time jumps and place jumps.
The
movement of this project is solid, but there is this slow-motion effect thing,
basically it is a clear indication of this guy is a hench-person and our lead
role is suspicious and sometime later something is dawning on our lead role.
Back story/Storyline: on both counts they are once again solid and straightforward.
Action sequences:
there are in short at first weapons being used, combat, armoured helicopters
and chasing sequences. Now here's two things for you to look out for, there is
a motorbike jump sequence and our lead role swinging through the air at a
different point in this title.
Artistic visions:
there is a small element of a violinist playing her violin, which is good of
what we hear of it and there is a presence of soccer in one way or another
[roughly speaking not in the opening section of this title, but everywhere else
yes,] these elements are okay.
Character developments/Comedy level/Performances: generally speaking the character developments are the
standard for this kind of film, there is a character in this project that
brings elements of comedy, the origins of this comedy is out of this character
being scared or I say this with political correctness in mind, because of his
character's ethnic background or family, even though he comes from the United
Kingdom [I would feel much more comfortable just pointing out that if this
project didn't use this or referenced it, I am just pointing out something in
this title and nothing more.]
But
swiftly moving on to the performances for most parts they are a reflection of
their character developments, meaning they do their job. But for Batista he
does show that even though his character developments are likewise the standard
for this kind of film he does make something out of them consequently it does
feel like he is carrying this project on his back and without giving too much
away when Batista and Brosnan share dialogue exchanges these are better moments
of this title on the whole [just a little heads up you don't see or hear too
much from Brosnan's character.]
This film receives:
5/10, this is one of those films where it is okay for a one-time viewing
[unless you are on a date and your date picks it or somehow I lose this review
then I may have to watch it again.] But besides that this title knows what it
is doing and it sticks to it, plus if you're a fan of Dave Batista then give
this film a go and this is just come into my mind, without him this film would
have really struggled.
