Review Time: this
film is mixed
Fundamental elements: there are voice-over elements, background music, cultural
elements, slow-motion effects, mental imagery, no subtitles when another
language is being used, time jumps and place jumps.
I
should just quickly point out that the slow-motion effects get used to the
level of a relentless nature, it's like someone sent a memo around saying
"We are going to use this effect so much in this project before it goes
out of fashion."
Action sequences:
there are weapons being used, combat elements and chasing sequences with
different modes of transport being used such as motorbikes and a helicopter.
Now there is one action sequence I can talk about for a little while and this
is just a rough description, it is where our lead role is sitting on this
motorbike, facing these evildoers in their vehicle chasing them, this motorbike
which he is sitting on has these bullet holes in it, so what he decides to do
is; collide with this oncoming vehicle [he changes his position from a sitting
to a standing shooting these guns] and on the point of impact/he jumps and goes
rolling over the top and lands behind this vehicle and continues shooting his
guns.
Character developments/Performances: these character developments are what they are, they
fulfil their purpose and that is it and the same can be said for the
performances they do the job.
This film receives:
5/10, now I did find it weird that a character put a cake with a burning candle
[birthday cake with a really small candle] inside her desk drawer and closed
it, yes she did retrieve it and nothing was damaged, I find it weird because
you would put out the candle first before putting it away or you wouldn't leave
it burning in this area right? The usage of a piano in this project is good,
but on the whole this title receives this mark.
