Review Time: this film is mixed.

Fundamental elements: there are words on screen, cultural elements, background music, slow-motion effects, no subtitles when another language is being used, voice-over elements, mental imagery, time jumps and place jumps.

Action sequences/Comedy level: there are weapons being used, combat elements, chasing elements and at some points there are these comedy elements within these action sequences [depending on your interpretation,] such as when our lead character/lead role is trying to get information out of somebody and in a nutshell our lead role is telling this other character he is using this blowtorch on him [without giving too much away he isn't, he is doing something else with it,] but the other character gives the information out nonetheless.

Artistic visions/Musical numbers: I like the artistic visions at the beginning [opening credits] they are black-and-white, there are some little bits and pieces of an artistic visions at the beginning of the closing credits as well, these are in a rough description stills/black-and-white [or something like that] as for the ones at the beginning they are moving, I much prefer the ones that are at the beginning and moving on to the musical numbers there are two of them, I wasn't going to bring this up because the first one is for the background and building the scene or sequence so it doesn't have much to do with our characters, but the second one does and it is interesting and good.

Character developments/Performances: now these two points as it relates to this project are mildly complicated from this perspective; are these characters developments poor or I am leaning towards/more comfortable with these character developments are stereotypes of what they should be as in there is our main evildoer and as soon as you see him that is the feeling and everything that comes with that you get with this character. The only time for me that this doesn't apply or it was scaled way back is where the viewers have these four [one is our lead character and three other characters] living in this location, in separate rooms, where in one way or another these characters are deeply flawed [yes they character developments are stereotypes as well, as I said it has been scaled back] but they are able to make this family chemistry which is more interesting and consequently these characters and their character developments seemed to be more in-depth and better rounded as people, on reflection these three characters do a lot for the character developments of our lead character. Yes we know this character has a lot of psychological and other damage. But there is a difference between showing the damage and allowing your audience to understand the damage on any level and other little things like this and to finish off this paragraph; I am going to clarify these character developments are not poor but instead say they are stereotypes [as I was dictating this paragraph I was getting more and more comfortable with the stereotypes idea than them being poor.]

This film receives: 5/10, what can I say; this mark feels right.
