Review Time: this sequel is highly
entertaining.
Fundamental elements: there is background music including singing I think, words on screen,
mental imagery, time jumps and place jumps.
Comedy level/Action sequences: now when I originally was thinking about this sequel, I thought I had
forgotten watching this film all I can remember is just as I have said in my
opening line this sequel is highly entertaining, but in a nutshell I came back
to do it [which you can see,] the reason why I am telling you all of this; is
because this is one of those films that has the repeat viewing factor about it
and yes I can remember a decent amount of it, it is just I was either really
watching this scene or sequence or finding something really funny at the time
or something else, so it wasn't anything to do with boredom or anything like
this.
The comedy
elements, well they could happen at any time or take any form [be it verbal or
visual comedy,] like for one example in this action sequence this Pez Candy
dispenser gets thrown from this moving vehicle, in a nutshell it gets enlarged
[by this blaster] and it almost hits the bad person character on the motorbike
behind them, generally speaking the comedy level or elements do not feel forced
or out of place, they feel natural and a reliable element to this sequel.
Moving on to
the action sequences; they are imaginative, quick and many [it is difficult to
pick some elements to talk about,] because I don't want to give too much away,
but having said this; the vehicles which can shrink and return to their
original sizes at any time [when the driver pushes or pulls this lever] and on
a quick yet small side note where these vehicles are kept it is a wonderful
touch.
Artistic visions: in a nutshell there is always something to see or to experience in
this sequel and it is of impeccable standards.
Performances/Character
developments: on both of these counts there is a very good
chemistry between these performers/characters as it goes for the main three
characters to begin with of Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Hope Van Dyne/Wasp and Ava
Starr/Ghost, they all individually or together either push their character
developments forward as recurring characters or newcomer Ava/Ghost, this
character or individual knows how to make an impact in this project.
Now as it relates to this evildoer/businessman with his own contacts
and his henchmen, I think it is safe to say they are somewhat out of their
depths from the perspective of yes they have guns and so on, but Ant-Man has
what he has at his disposal, the same can be said for Wasp and Ghost and not
forgetting they have skill sets and their personality traits and everything
that comes with that as well, so this evildoer and his henchmen can be seen as
like heels in wrestling or something to that effect where at least they are
trying to be a thorn in the side of the previous three characters I have just
mentioned, for the rest of the performers I haven't mentioned yet they all
bring something to the table be it recurring characters or newcomers.
This film receives: 10/10, when this review was dictated it may have taken me part of one
day and part of another to get down, but this sequel has so much happening in
it, that it quickly changes through the gears from a walking pace or somewhere
around here to light speed [I mean this from an unbiased perspective now and
again on the project in question,] I prefer films that take care or settle down
the fundamental elements first and then let it do its thing which in turn
should make things easier to put in and withdraw if and when it is time to do
so; and if you have done this correctly in theory it should create a fluency
which makes things feel natural be it a comedy element or whatever you want to
put in at that time which this sequel has, so basically this sequel is lots of
action and lots of fun.
