Taking Lives 2004 by AverageMansReviews
Review Time: this project is mixed.
Fundamental elements: there are words
and numbers on screen, cultural elements, background music, yes and no to
subtitles being used, voice-over elements, mental imagery, slow-motion effects,
time jumps and place jumps.
Action sequences: there are weapons
being used, chasing sequences and other bits and pieces.
Performances/Character developments: I think generally speaking they are mixed, it is one of those
occasions where may be saying they are poor or out and out good would be a
little bit harsh or a little bit much, based on some performances/character
developments meaning they are what they are and they do the job for their
specific characters. Now moving on to our two main characters, after briefly
speaking to the person I watched this film with there is chemistry here, but
without giving too much away, based on what happens in this title I didn't
expect the chemistry to be the same for reasons I cannot say, but maybe
something like anger or something like this; don't get me wrong there are
emotions in this section of the film, but it feels like something is or
something's are lacking.
This film receives: 4/10, for me this
film feels like it could do with a bit of speed or something like this and
after everything is said and done I am comfortable with this mark.
