Hard to Kill 1990 by AverageMansReviews
Review Time: this film is poor.
Cultural elements/Fundamental core: now there are cultural elements in this project such as I think there
are occasions where another language is being used, I say I think because these
moments are quick and now it would be a good time to point out that when I
speak about cultural elements, I should have pointed this out sooner but it
could also include religious elements as well, the reason why this element
doesn't appear much in the headings in my reviews [or at all I can remember if
I have mentioned anything about using the header religion or religious
elements, you see I have done over 300 plus reviews at this point.] But because
I have been around films or projects for many, many years now with this long-term
experience I have learned two things [amongst other things] and these two
things would be the following; if or when talking about a character's
background or in this case religion don't talk about it in an in-depth level
and the second thing is don't talk about a performer's personal life away from
the film in question [I am here to discuss the project and nothing else.] Let
me clarify something; when it comes to watching a potentially religious
project, yes I will be discussing religion, but still in the boundaries of the
film itself and still not too heavy.
But back to this
title, the fundamental core for this project is messy it could be the
background music [it is easy to pick up on,] the time jump or place jump with
words, numbers and newspapers on screen at different points but still these
elements are boring and how could I forget the mental imagery, the voice-over
elements in one scene [just these voice-over elements and no pictures the lead
character is remembering the voices] they are both nothing special [in fact the
fundamental core itself is hard work.]
Action sequences: there are plenty of weapons being
used, combat sequences [the hospital bed sequence is funny, because it doesn't
look like a smooth ride for our lead role] and the getting healthy sequences
such as training or anything other are tedious.
Character developments: they are poor, because without saying too much our
lead character cannot or shouldn't be able to do some of the things he does,
after being in a coma for many years [yes I am no medical expert,] but he
should have been seen struggling more than what he was [and yes I am having an
educated guess here but there are maybe some time jumps here, I don't know
because it doesn't tell me but then again it would make sense for there to be
some time jumps in his getting healthy training and other elements.]
The thing is there
are some occasions in this title where any of these character's dialogue
exchanges are hit or miss, I don't know if it was the background music or a
technical problem or the dialogue exchange of a poor exchange or something but
whatever the case may be,] some of these dialogue exchanges are not easy to
hear.
This film receives: 24% approval, now taking everything
into consideration this project gets safely up to this percentage of approval
and on a side note there is a really pretty kitten somewhere in this project.
