Tango & Cash 1989 by AverageMansReviews
Review Time: this film title is good-ish.
Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russell: well
they are this project, yes usually I would give you a long or longer speech
than this; but as I am just stating something which is really obvious to begin
with, I was thinking I would just say it so we can get it out of the way with.
Their character
developments are pretty much straightforward, two cops which are individually
very successful at what they do, basically we have two characters here that are
the same coin but different sides of that coin [meaning their methods and
personalities are slightly different one tries to think about things first
whilst the other is more jump straight in but they get results.]
The dialogue
exchanges and the comedy level, between these two characters are consistently
moving the film forward, the comedy level itself mostly comes from comments,
the one-upsmanship nature between these two characters or something else, it
also has to be noted that there is good chemistry between Stallone and Russell.
Background music: it is sometimes loud and sometimes
really noticeable.
Action sequences: the action-packed sequences in this
title are mostly weapons being used, chasing or something else. But the
escaping sequence is well put together from beginning to end and the sequence
involving this new invention [a vehicle with many accessories on or in it,] when it
is in action this sequence of events can be seen as good fun as well.
This film receives: 57% approval, this is one of those
film titles that knows what it is doing from start to finish and it doesn't
change what it brings to the table at any stage, I guess what I am trying to
say is this; this project is what it is and that would be a crime, comedy and
action.
