M.A.S.K. [Mobile Armored Strike Kommand] 85 -- 86 [Disc 1] Episode 2: The Star Chariot by AverageMansReviews

Review Time: this episode was good to very good.

4 things about this episode

Gloria Baker vs. Vanessa Warfield: these two characters are consistently in these episodes [I hasten to add not every single episode,] but between these two characters they show that females can be more than females in trouble and so on and so forth [yes there are more female characters in this TV series that have for an example have a decent job like a Scientist or something other.]

But with Gloria and Vanessa, regardless if they are a good character or an evildoer they have the skills and personality traits to more than handle themselves individually and more importantly they feel like a member of their groups [M.A.S.K. or V.E.N.O.M.]

Now if I had to put these two people up against Teela and Evil-Lyn [from the TV program He-Man and the Masters of the Universe from 1983 to 1985,] based on their personality traits I would have to give it to Gloria and Vanessa. Because yes Evil-Lyn has some strong personality traits such as leadership qualities, but Teela can be immature and doesn't mind showing it from time to time.

Science-fiction element: now I can't tell you too much about this element because it is a major point to the storyline, but I can say this; it is a strange element, but a good element and it makes sense.

Scott: I have watched some moments of this episode again because I picked up on something in some moments, within these moments you can clearly hear Scott saying "Dad" twice and I am sure this is not the only time he does this [so I will mention it now and possibly never bring it up again depending how things go.] But my point is this; if your son tells your enemies that there is a family connection between themselves and this person in a mask the first thing is this; wouldn't your enemies see this as a weakness and secondly what is the point of putting on the mask if your son is just going to call you Dad, but to be fair no one picks up on this information.

Ending message: don't touch dogs that you don't know, because the dog doesn't know you either [in this example Scott goes to be friendly with a dog.]

This episode receives: 73% approval, this episode is good fun but as I have already said this science-fiction element is a little bit strange [I don't see this as a downside] but because of the size of this science-fiction element I am just wondering how no one noticed it or accidentally came across it until now [without giving too much away I know these characters needed something special to gain access,] but still you would think someone may have built something on or around this location.

On a side note I am going to say this one more time, I think it is acceptable to use MASK or M.A.S.K it seems like everyone uses either or both of what I can tell, so go with whatever makes you feel comfortable [yes this is the last time I will be bringing this up.]
