The Emoji Movie 2017 by AverageMansReviews
Review Time: now and again I do have to wonder who gives the
green light for some of these film titles that we see in today's cinema's,
because this film is poor but more to the point it doesn't feel like it is
actually trying to be consistently entertaining.
James Corden/Patrick Stewart: as their individual emoji's voices do
have their moments of comedy and as Corden's emoji' does spend more time on
screen, he tries to give this project some kind of enthusiasm and movement
[basically as far as I can tell Corden is the fundamental core such as the
scene consistencies and the atmosphere controls for heavy amounts of this
project.] Because without him or to be a little bit more precise without his
emoji' on screen, this film does really slow down and it becomes instantaneously
quite boring.
Storyline/Artistic visions: so as it relates to the storyline are
you telling me? [Rhetorical question,] they couldn't come up with a better
storyline than this; no really I am not joking here. The storyline has no
imagination to it whatsoever, I mean just taking 2 seconds to think about it,
why didn't they have a storyline like this; where the emoji''s have to all work
together to take on this new app that threatens their way of life [just for the
record I know my idea sounds really cheesy.] But then again my idea is much
better than the actual storyline used in this film.
The artistic
visions, I don't know what to tell you other than this; it is colourful and
engaging, it does its job but generally speaking it is poor and to be honest
with you I found it to be uninspiring.
This film receives: 16% approval, now there are some very
tiny moments of fun in this project, but the main reason why this film title
gets into double figures of approval, it is because of James Corden and Patrick
Stewart; at least these two performers either sound enthusiastic or funny when
they are on screen.
