He-Man and the Masters of the Universe 83 -- 85 [Volume 5] Episode 26:
Ordeal in the Darklands by AverageMansReviews
Review Time: this episode would have got given a higher
percentage of approval if one character wasn't in it [Orko.]
No Skeletor/Evil-Lyn steps in: I wish they would
do this more often, where a recurring character takes over for an episode, just
to give the audience a little bit of variety and on the other hand it would
give these recurring characters time on screen including the opportunity for
some kind of character developments and on a side note when Skeletor returns he
can or could poke fun at his follower for attempting to take on He-Man whilst
he was away [in the next episode.]
Evil-Lyn does a
very good job in her lead role for this episode; her plan is something at least
decent and interesting.
Artistic visions/Action sequences: they
are only high quality, it could be the artistic visions of Snake Mountain or
this very dangerous animal in this episode, there is always something just
around every corner to see or to experience. The action sequences are high-octane
action, action and more action.
I do like it when
these characters within this episode have to split up and do different things
to achieve what they have to achieve, it does make this episode very lively as
the audience is just rotating from situation to situation and back again to
keep up with whatever may be happening on screen.
Ending message: in a nutshell is basically this; parents, now and
again have to say no, because they are just trying to keep you safe.
This episode receives: 88% approval, generally speaking this
episode is great fun.
