Despicable Me 2010 by AverageMansReviews
Review Time: this film is excellent fun.
Artistic visions: they are engaging, there is always
something just around the corner be it a comedy element, storyline, artistic
visions or something else. The animation itself is looking a little bit old, if
you look at the small details [in a nutshell you have to go looking for it to
find it.] But let's be fair, it is holding up very, very well indeed, it is
still able to transport its audiences from their seats into this world.
Storyline: when it comes to the big titles as it relates to
computer animation such as Toy Story 1995, Shrek 2001 and this title. They all
have one thing in common [in actual fact they have many things in common,] but
my point is this; they all have a fundamentally sound storyline, which
basically means, their storylines are easy to understand, then follow and in
these three titles cases [easy to build other instalments on.] You see by
taking a fundamentally sound storyline, you can build things in and around the
storyline such as comedy elements, character developments at different points,
possibly now and again knowing when to use background music in a sequence of
scenes or something else and I hasten to add, it doesn't matter how old these
film titles get they will stand the test of time, regardless of how many, many,
many years later the animation may look a little bit vintage by then.
Comedy elements: they are well spaced throughout, it could be the
Minions or for another example Gru takes on his most hardest mission to date
[three girls.] Yes I am aware that I haven't spoken to much about the comedy
elements, this is because I don't want to spoil any of this surprises that you
will experience in this project, but what I can say is this; they feel very
natural to be happening when they happen, none of the comedy elements feel out
of place in this project.
This film receives: 100% approval, it is one of those
occasions where I really cannot criticize this project, because as I have
already outlined it offers so much and I am not willing to take off any
percentages for this film looking a little bit old in some places.
