The Debt Collector 1999 by AverageMansReviews
Review Time: I don't really have too much to say about this
project [Billy Connolly is the biggest positive element to this project,] his
character developments are subtle and interesting.
Fundamental core: as in the atmosphere controls and the
scene consistencies are very messy, the storyline has been sectioned off around
different characters, at different times, in different locations [so in essence
what I am saying is this; you could be around one character or selection of
characters one minute and the next minute you could be somewhere else with a
different selection of characters in no particular order,] or even when this
film does slow down and begin to show some kind of consistency it doesn't
exactly move with any kind of confidence, because this film jumps around, the
atmosphere controls are pretty useless in one perspective. But in other
perspectives it is just in time to be useful or constructive [without giving
too much away, the storyline elements are connected so it does make sense, but
how this film has been put together it makes everything look really hard work.]
Action: these sequences are nothing special, but more to the point the
sequences that we do see are clumsy and messy.
Ending: this film does end, but it isn't a strong ending or a decent ending or a
well-rounded one at that, it is a slightly confusing one if I had to put it
into a category.
This film receives: 7% approval, if there are any fans of
Billy Connolly out there in Internet land, give this film a look but I really
wouldn't expect too much generally speaking.
