Review Time: this film has a basic storyline really and just
gets on with things, I would usually be a little bit more specific but for
those people that have seen this film, you should know what I'm trying to say
without saying too much [there is nothing wrong with the storyline, but it does
have the approach of joining the dots.]
Action: these sequences are mostly loud with plenty of weapons being used, some
chasing sequences, hand-to-hand combat and many other things, they are a
consistent theme throughout and they are well put together.
Comedy level: this element is based in the dialogue exchanges
[as one-liners,] which are pleasantly just there being used at some point in
this title.
Performances: the performances are reliable, the audience can
identify quickly and efficiently who are the good guys or who are the bad guys.
This film receives: 90% approval now let me take some time
to justify this percentage of approval. Now and again throughout my reviews
there will be some titles like this one, where I cannot be too harsh simply
because this title for an example, it says exactly what it is capable of doing
by using the title "Commando " which should illustrate straightaway a
theme of action, weapons being used, big explosions and so on and so forth and
let's be fair this film has stood the test of time within the action genre.
