Pay-Per-View Rewind of: WWE/ECW One Night Stand 12/06/2005 Match 6 Part 6 by AverageMansReviews - Spoiler Alarm!

Pay-Per-View Rewind of: WWE/ECW One Night Stand 12/06/2005 Match 6 Part 6 by AverageMansReviews - Spoiler Alarm!

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/blood warning/reference or references to suicide and unfortunately I will be discussing suicide.

Match/Stipulation: Mike Awesome vs. Masato Tanaka; ECW Single Match ECW Single Match [Additional information this means anything goes.]

Match Attributes:

Match Quality: 8/10

Match Storyline: 8/10

Crowd Participation: 7/10

On Commentary: Mick Foley & Joey Styles 4/10

Satisfying Conclusion: 6/10

Recommend Watch: 6/10

Match Total: 39/60 - this match is good.

Comments: the wrestling and the match outlay as you can see is/was excellent, but everything else was toxic on one level or another. It pretty much starts as soon as Awesome entries the ring he gives a gesture to the balcony, consequently Bischoff and The Anti-ECW Crusaders: Raw get up and turn their back on him [but later on The Anti-ECW Crusaders of both Raw & SmackDown looked to be enjoying this match, consequently putting over both participants, I hasten to add when JBL puts his hands on his face at watching another table getting set up, there is a moment where I think he is mocking them, but let’s be positive and say; for the most parts they are putting over these two competitors.] Meanwhile we have Styles warming up to not just do a shoot on him [this is wrestling terminology for an element of truth or more,] but Styles just doesn't shoot on Awesome, he buries him [this is another wrestling terminology which in this case is verbally destroying somebody/this wrestling terminology can be used in a wrestling sense as well where one wrestler buries somebody by a quick match with one competitor having a dominating performance which this can be known as a another wrestling terminology a squash match.]

Where in a nutshell; Style brings up Awesome broke his ECW contract to sign worth millions of dollars with WCW and goes on from there really, Awesome performs a suicide dive to the outside Styles says "And it is a shame he didn't succeed by taking his own life."

This is where I feel it is appropriate to drop a pipe bomb [this is another wrestling terminology which basically means unfiltered truth when speaking.] Styles you child this is how the wrestling industry works, it isn't very nice but it is the business end of it, even though you are a little bit concerned about Awesome in this match once and don't worry you got your wish, because Awesome committed suicide if you really want to know death by hanging in 2007, so RIP Michael "Mike Awesome" Alfonso 1965-2007 [full disclosure yes I looked this up.] In fairness and balance he apologises, but then again it doesn't mean anything if he continues and even, Foley is being a professional and sticking up for Awesome including Foley being honest "I think I would have sold out for what type of cash WCW were throwing at Awesome." With this small yet reality check Styles: don't say that. Foley: I've got kids. Frankly Foley does so much good work here to cover to cover up Styles garbage and one final thing the audience where mixed towards Awesome, because of everything I have said here and they were positive as well to be fair, they would just remind him we haven't forgotten that kind of thing.[Additional; now I need to point this out, this could be absolutely 100% speculation, but however Styles and Foley are individually wearing a headset so it could be possible that Styles has completely gone off script or someone mentioning no names; cough, cough Heyman could have been feeding Styles these lines, based on my viewing experience of this  situation, this is highly unlikely as Styles gives off the impression he is burying Awesome  of his free will and what leads me to think like this; is you have Foley as I have already said being professional. I just needed to add this possible outcome in here just in case it is or isn't a case r who knows Heyman and Styles could be doing this together because at minimum it makes him look good, because I look outside the box and yes I freely accept I could be completely wrong as well, because like I have all they said this is 100% speculation.]

Basic Result: Mike Awesome picks up the W.

Briefly things to know:

* Mick Foley & Joey Styles: Commentary a video replay, a moment or two later Styles on behalf of these two give thanks and Foley discusses a little bit about ECW

* Paul Heyman/Pauly Heyman segment in the ring: he gives thanks to the audience and shoots on the members of onThe Anti-ECW Crusaders of both Raw & SmackDown.

* Bob Artese; he comes out before Heyman: Ringer announcer introduces our main event

5 things about this episode

Warning: there is flashing/colourful/other effects/transformation/self-harm/fossilisation/biting/clawing/bodily functions

The NightMare's Tyrannoclaw vs. The Muscle League's Terry "The Grand" Kanyon  [with Meat;] with the NightMare's Manager/Coach Sunshine on Ring announcing duties, Kanyon hanging above the ring just before the match, inside a Steel Cage[without the top on] and with a Special Guest Referee in The Muscle League's own Kid Muscle: Storyline, Character [Character developments,] Action and Art. So as you can see these stipulations of this match are heavily stacked against Canyon, if you were wondering what kind of Referee Kid would be; well if you have been watching these episodes in the right order at this point, you would get a good idea how a little bit of power goes to his head as he gets booed very resoundingly, but he does get better.

Kanyon; performs this move known as "Texas Tornado Twister" it's where Tyrannoclaw has jumped in the air, Kanyon runs and jumps to meet him wrapped his legs around Tyrannoclaw's stomach area, so he is then in position on top of Tyrannoclaw, then Kanyon is in a situation of a running power slam position to smoothly transitioning to a Reverse Piledriver from high up in the air to crash Tyrannoclaw's head very hard into the mat below; this sequence feels and looks impactful.

This episode receives: 8/10, this episode is excellent; we have more to come from this match, let's hope that Kanyon can battle back.

Ultimate Muscle: The Kinnikuman Legacy [Season 1,]Episode 10: Un-Mellow Yellow by AverageMansReviews

Review Time:

5 things about this episode

Warning: there is flashing/colourful/other effects/transformation/bodily functions

"Doc" Nakano explains; segway: Art, Comedy, Storyline and Character [Character developments;] we have a smaller version of  Nakano stopping the current scene and pushing it up something like an old-fashioned garage slide up a 2-D version anyway, to reveal a little version of him standing in front of a computer projector  with one red circle button in the middle with two triangle buttons both pointing outwards one orange and the other blue, with a 2-D version of his head on the screen; as he begins to tell us what he has researched/presentation on the dMp [Demon Making Plant,] before he can get into the swing of what he is saying, his computer projector version toupee vanishes revealing boldness again; so looking surprised he quickly coughs and presses the red button to get back to and continue his presentation. Sunshine was one of the founding members of the dMp, but he got kicked out and moved to Miami which he never used sunblock or has people from the United Kingdom say suntan lotion and as you will see physically this has greatly affected him; Nakano waves goodbye, while making a similar reference to what I've just said about his physical appearance, but he finishes off with as "We go back to the ring" [With the previous scene coming down as he is continuing to wave and finishes off his sentence [with him pending over as the scene comes down] with going back to where we were.

This episode receives: 10/10 this episode is lots of fun; a new challenge has been laid down in front of our new Muscle League members.

Pay-Per-View Rewind of: WWE/ECW One Night Stand 12/06/2005 Match 5 Part 5 by AverageMansReviews - Spoiler Alarm!

Warning/Disclaimer: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/blood warning. Disclaimer: anything I say which is positive about Chris Benoit is in a wrestling capacity only.

Match/Stipulation: "The Crippler" Chris Benoit vs. Eddie Guerrero; ECW Single Match ECW Single Match [Additional information this means anything goes.]

Match Attributes:

Match Quality: 7/10

Match Storyline: 7/10

Crowd Participation: 10/10

On Commentary: Mick Foley & Joey Styles 7/10

Satisfying Conclusion: 8/10

Recommend Watch: 8/10

Match Total: 47/60 - this match is excellent

Comments: well I think I have mentioned it once somewhere in here, but just make sure these matches are relatively short, I mean the longest ones are 11 minutes, so as it relates to this match and if you are wondering why the Match Quality and Match Storyline individually only get 7/10, it does look and feel like they are working with the time may have which in this case is roughly 11 minutes, so individually or together most of us should know that these two wrestlers can go for a long time and put on an average extra matches. Now including the Raw Anti-ECW Crusaders on the balcony the crowd were I am just going to say loud.

Now but something has come to my attention that between Styles and Foley in this match they put across this stipulation and I know Styles put it across in the previous match/match slot as well. So I got thinking why didn't one or both of them bring it up in the first match/match slot? So I went back and watched it, the basically ran this opening match/match slot in every way shape or form as a normal Singles Match, but I did hear I am paraphrasing Style praising this Referee [Mike Kehner] for being consistent with his counting of the near falls. But for me pointing out as this night goes on the ECW Referees show a bit more leniency which we like to see, so on reflection this was foreshadowing for later on in this pay-per-view.

But back to here and now; I am paraphrasing again we have these two commentators discussing Styles: Highlighting this stipulation of this match. Foley: leniency being the key word here declaring a disqualification [let's look at this reply again] a little time later, as I was saying any official disqualifies a match, it would make what Bischoff got as a hero’s welcome with Styles quickly adding run out of town.

But as I have already pointed out they ran the first match on this card as a normal Singles Match; which I understand and I get a warming up  process of this pay-per-view and the foreshadowing. But it does feel like that this commentary team has forgotten that they were disappointed on; how the first match went down, so based on the fact we are on a ECW pay-per-view and the land of the extreme, why were this commentary team disappointed on what went down in the first match/match slot? It just makes them look a little bit silly as it relates to continuity and finally JBL and Orlando Jordan showing support and praise for Benoit; trying to entice him over to The Anti-ECW Crusaders: SmackDown Superstars from up in the balcony with Benoit buying it [likewise just a roundabout the same time; they put this over on commentary as well.]

Basic Result: "The Crippler" Chris Benoit  pick up the win

Briefly things to know:

* "The Quintessential Stud Muffin" Joel: is unfortunately back for another demoralising and saddening segment, but this time he approaches The Anti-ECW Crusaders: Raw, specifically Eric Bischoff with this slow build-up to ask him for a job, he will do anything. I will somewhat speed this up it is another segment where it very much reminds us that ECW where beneath WWE and they want to remind us of that fact.

* Mick Foley & Joey Styles: Commentary talk about what they have just seen and camera shot of outside of where this pay-per-view is taking place which is the Hammerstien Ballroom/Manhattan Centre, Manhattan, New York City, USA with Styles advertising this pay-per-view

* Stephen Deangelis: Ringer announcer introduces the next match.

Match/Stipulation: "The Most Suicidal, Homicidal, Genocidal" Sabu vs. Rhyno; ECW Single Match [Additional information this means anything goes.]

Match Attributes:

Match Quality: 8/10

Match Storyline: 8/10

Crowd Participation: 8/10

On Commentary: Mick Foley & Joey Styles 8/10

Satisfying Conclusion: 7/10

Recommend Watch: 7/10

Match Total: 46/60 - this match is excellent

Comments: this match/match slot as the attribute marks and I have already said is excellent, I mean we have the usual high standard of extreme wrestling from Sabu, including none other than "The Hardcore Legend" Mick Foley putting him over on commentary basically saying and I am paraphrasing here I am not even in Sabu league and later on each commentator borrowed one catchphrase from each other to put across the action they are seeing, which puts to bed any speculation that I have had of friction that these two might have had earlier on in this pay-per-view.

Basic Result: "The Most Suicidal, Homicidal, Genocidal" Sabu pick up the .W

Briefly things to know:

* Mick Foley & Joey Styles: Commentary video replay and talks over it.

* Al Snow with Head [for the younger generations out there; this cheap manikin head of some description] and it is getting blamed for inviting The Raw & SmackDown Anti-ECW Crusaders to this pay-per-view, in this dialogue exchange he does mention watching/introducing more of ECW video package.

* The Raw Anti-ECW Crusaders: make their way into this venue and up to the balcony.

* Stephen Deangelis: Ringer announcer introduces the next match.
