He-Man and the Masters of the Universe [Season 2,] Episode 80: The Shadow of Skeletor by AverageMansReviews

5 things about this episode

Warning: there are flashing effects/other effects/transformation

Mystical version of Skeletor: in one way or another we have Art, Characters, Action & Comedy all going hand-in-hand in one way or another. In this one scene there is so much happening be it from an Art perspective; as his head appears in front of his disciples with this shimmery effect to give them instructions of what he wants done. Man-E-Faces is undercover as Beast Man; he interrupts Skeletor, consequently he gets a quick thunder bolt with Skeletor telling him "Don't interrupt." This is great acting from Man-E-Faces [yes I know they have just switched voice performers but still; great Character development] because at the very least the idea of going undercover shows great imagination and it has all the hallmarks of Skeletor dealing with/punishing one of his disciples with let's just say lesser intelligence like; the real Beast Man, Trap Jaw and/or Mer-Man with the comedy atmosphere as well.

This episode receives: 8/10, this episode is excellent; it does need a little bit of time to warm up, but the more you watch of this episode the better it gets.

5 things about this episode

Warning: there are flashing effects/other effects/transformation/animal cruelty

Storyline/Moral message: it is good and the Moral message; in summary don't abuse your pets for your own amusement, treat them with kindness that way it is more fun for everyone involved.

Prince Adam/He-Man vs. Bellatron: here is a little bit more background information [just because I don't like not having enough substance in my content] Prince Adam/He-Man has to take on Bellatron in this Coliseum style of location and situation on the Planet Mero; to amuse the Darmi and so they can put wagers on the outcome, this is my final little background information there are a very small number of spectators watching this contest.

But now on to a small piece of this Action sequence; it is where Prince Adam/He-Man catches these two massive rockets from a opening to fire and then closing after departments in Bellatron's palms and obviously on catching them Prince Adam/He-Man returned them back to the sender; this is good Action & Art going hand-in-hand here.

This episode receives: 6/10, this episode is good: this episode has a purpose to it and it sticks to that purpose.

The Bird People of Avion: the Storyline, Action, Art & Characters; all for all these go hand-in-hand in one way or another in this episode.

Now without giving too much away the focus point of this episode generally speaking is on The Bird People of Avion, it is/was refreshing for Prince Adam/He-Man to be pulled back a little bit so we could understand a bit more about these characters in this episode.

Because The Bird People of Avion live somewhere high up on a little bit of research [the Mystic Mountains;] Skeletor and some of his disciples attack Avion by the air on these War-Sleds; these on both occasions are excellent Action & Art.

Characters [Character developments;] in learning about these Bird People of Avion we also find out a gigantic weakness [I can't really say too much more than that, just based on the grounds it is a fundamental/colossal component to this episode, but what I can say is this; it makes perfect sense for them to have this as a life-changing weakness.

This episode receives: 9/10, this episode is excellent; as I have already made reference to; it is/was refreshing for the focus to be put on other Characters in Eternia, hopefully they will do this again at some point down the line in this TV program in future episodes.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe [Season 2,] Episode 77: Trouble in Trolla by AverageMansReviews

Review Time:

5 things about this episode

Warning: there are flashing effects/other effects/transformation

Moral message: in summary it talks about young and old people working together to achieve things and to respect their advice that they give to you.

I am not going: Comedy; rough description; Cringer doesn't want to go through this portal inside Castle Grayskull opened by The Sorceress to Orko's Home Planet of Trolla, because it is weird. Which Prince Adam says okay I will get someone else mainly Battle Cat; this is good Comedy.

Cringer/Battle Cat pounces: this is fantastic Action & Art going hand-in-hand here; I should give you a little heads up this is a very small piece, so you may have to pay attention. It is where Cringer/Battle Cat pounces into action to take on the Kroom [these evil little pigs/Whiplash's Hench personnel for this episode.] But I digress; the viewers get a beautiful picture of Cringer/Battle Cat pouncing straight on with the camera and the small piece after this is still good as well off him are pouncing after these very scared Kroom.

This episode receives: 6/10, this episode is good; yes even though this is a Orko based episode; if you have been following me long enough, you will know my opinions on this character, but nonetheless it is still good.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe [Season 2,] Episode 76: The Ice Age Cometh by AverageMansReviews

Review Time:

5 things about this episode

Warning: there are flashing effects/other effects/transformation

Moral message: in summary it talks about "Responsibilities"

Prince Adam/He-Man vs. the Caterchiller: we have Action, Art & Character: going hand-in-hand here; where we have Orko captured by this Caterchiller and hanging off the ceiling in this webbing, with Cringer/Battle Cat being neutralized for a little while with this creature shooting out his webbing around Cringer/Battle Cat's legs so he is tied up; so that just leaves Prince Adam/He-Man to do combat with this creature, so this creature fires out webbing which comes out as this white long strong thick spaghetti; as if Prince Adam/He-Man was going to eat spaghetti from The Power Sword; he quickly wraps it around The Sword of Power as this creature is firing it at him and then quickly turns the tables as Prince Adam/He-Man wraps this Caterchiller in its own webbing. Character [Character developments] Prince Adam/He-Man [looks at Orko and tells him/us "He is not mean, you have just disturbed him from his sleep." [Prince Adam/He-Man turns around and walks over to the Caterchiller and looks slightly down, but face-to-face in a peaceful manner to say] "Time for your beauty or nap and the time; you wake up you will be a gorgeous butterfly." With that the Caterchiller seems to understand by peacefully closing his eyes and going back to sleep in the wrapping of his own webbing.

This episode receives: 7/10, this episode is good: on one hand we have this Royal Palace of Eternia Garde his name is Philip; he brings nothing positive to the table; yes obviously I get his purpose for being in this episode and I know he is a young boy but still he is annoying, whilst on the other hand the Action & Art are nothing but a positive to this episode.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe [Season 2,] Episode 75: To Save Skeletor by AverageMansReviews

Review Time:

5 things about this episode

Warning: there are flashing effects/other effects/transformation/medical element

The alliance between good and evil: we have Comedy, Characters, Action & Art going hand-in-hand at some point in this episode; where we have He-Man and a selection of his allies preparing to take a trip inside Attak Trak, likewise for Skeletor and his disciples inside the Collector. Prince Adam/He-Man "Follow us to Castle Grayskull." Skeletor:" I think I know my way; I have been there before [his evil laugh"]

Character development; anyone that knows Skeletor, he plans to betray He-Man and his allies at some point, as it relates to these Characters, Action & Art; I do like how the mystical and combative Characters get split down into these two groups; the mystical group is working on something to resolve this situation, whilst the combative group are distracting this life changing to Eternia; it's name is S'Gora.

Cringer/Battle Cat is literally the first one that pounces into action as he takes this large pounce onto the top of S'Gora; which in turn we get this fantastic image of Cringer/Battle Cat on top of S'Gora; with him far from enjoying the experience.

This episode receives: 8/10, this episode is excellent; it really does have lots to offer its viewers.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe [Season 2,] Episode 74: Island of Fear by AverageMansReviews

Review Time:

5 things about this episode

Warning: there are flashing effects/other effects/transformation/environmental component

Moral message: in short and I am paraphrasing here; progress is important such as buildings and so on, but it is also important to have areas for animals and nature as well

Orko rescues Cringer: the Action, Character & Art: these three components go hand-in-hand here; now yes from an Action/Art perspective this episode does have better sequences. I mean don't get me wrong in this particular sequence everything still looks good but there is better. The reason why I have chosen this scene is; well I really don't like Orko I have made crystal clear at times whilst going through this TV program, but when he shows Character development; courage and does the right thing by rescuing Cringer from falling over this high up location over this man-made dam [Duncan/Man-At-Arms; is  the man behind this project.] I have to at least show him in a positive light at some point so here we are; as he is pulling back on Cringer's tale to bring him back over the edge and safely back onto where they are; this is all good.

This episode receives: 7/10, this episode is good: this is a solidly good episode it has a purpose and fulfils that purpose.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe [Season 2,] Episode 73: Origin of the Sorceress by AverageMansReviews

Review Time:

5 things about this episode

Warning: there are flashing effects/other effects/transformation/animal cruelty

Origin of The Sorceress: now be it from an Origin Storyline perspective or Characters [Character developments] these two components go hand-in-hand in this episode they are excellent; but in hindsight this seems like one of those excellent occasions where they could have done a two-parter Of a episode here, you know really explore what we are dealing with here.

Morgoth vs. The Sorceress: likewise this is excellent Action and Art going hand-in-hand here: as we have Morgoth half in and half out of this ring of fire porthole [known as The Symbol of Morgoth;] he quickly drops this big gem on dropping it; it instantaneously gets place in this force field; without this gem he cannot enter Eternia fully as in his physical form, he is trapped between where he is and in Eternia, but is easily powerful enough to put a spirit version of himself partly through this ring of fire [I have said a spirit version; because that is what they were clearly going for, don't worry you can clearly see him, but also not it clearly at full strength; the viewers can see right through him] and able shoot very powerful thunder at anyone he desires from his fingertips.

The Sorceress; I am pretty sure this is a hard-light Shield, but then again I have no idea where it comes from or goes, if I had to guess I would say her wrist somehow, but what I can say for certain is The Sorceress is using a Shield here.

This episode receives: 9/10, this episode is excellent; it has lots to offer in one way or another

Review Time:

5 things about this episode

Warning: there are flashing effects/other effects/transformation

Storyline: it is good; it to begin with is a slow burner, but the more you watch of it the better it.

Batros & Skeletor there is absolutely no trust here: be it the Action, Art and Characters [Character developments] all three of these components go hand-in-hand here; Batros fires these beams out of his hands to make this bridge made out of many snakes to get across this moat onto Castle Grayskull; then he very kindly offers to Skeletor for him to go first "After you my dear Skeletor." Skeletor's reply "And turned my back to you [small evil laugh] oh no you lead the way." This is all good and this is just one example of what this episode has to offer.

This episode receives: 7/10, this episode is good: with taking everything into consideration this mark is the right outcome.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe [Season 2,] Episode 71: The Rarest Gift of All by AverageMansReviews

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe [Season 2,] Episode 71: The Rarest Gift of All by AverageMansReviews

Review Time:

5 things about this episode

Warning: there are flashing effects/other effects/transformation

Cringer: now be it the Comedy, Action, Character or Blooper these four components involve him or them. Comedy; he breaks the fourth wall for the first time and says "Me and my big mouth." As before this he says "I am sure you will think of something Orko." Consequently Orko does and the second time he says "I hope" as he attempts to rescue Orko from this unpleasant tree character [a tree character with a face and is going to eat Orko.

Character; [Character developments;] now throughout this episode Cringer is just this comical, lovable sometimes big scaredy-cat which if anyone has ever watched this TV program you know he is all these things and more as he will go and going for help or as I have just illustrated you will find courage to help somebody out.

Blooper; on one hand I get it without Cringer they/we wouldn't have this episode but on the other hand; it has to be a Blooper because no oneAt any stage who doesn't know this secret; thought it was a little bit weird or suspicious or it crossed anyone's mind "Hold on where's Battle Cat or better yet where is Prince Adam?" I know Prince Adam usually mysteriously disappears or goes to find He-Man with Cringer or other; It just seems like an excellent opportunity or bad error in judgment [depending on your perspective] to put one and one together that Prince Adam and Cringer are He-Man and Battle Cat.

This episode receives: 7/10, this episode is good; now towards the final section or somewhere around here this episode does get better, but this episode stays in the good section of my marking system this is down to Cringer, throughout this episode he does bring lots to the table to enjoy.

Wakefield 2016/2017 by AverageMansReviews

Wakefield 2016/2017 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time

Warning: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/bodily function

Storyline/Characters/Performances/Comedy: now at one point or another all these components go hand-in-hand. The storyline focuses on Howard Wakefield/Cranston as he decides to take a break from his life and go and live in his garage which is next to his house with his wife and two daughters living there. But they are unaware of this to them and to the rest of his network he is presumed missing, possibly dead based on how long he stays away; but he is watching them through these binoculars through this window of this garage as he decides to live a homeless life style and goes on this journey of self-discovery.

Unfortunately this project loses so many marks on the ending style of this film; without giving too much away it ends on a colossal question-mark of from an overview perspective of what happened next? I could see it coming, I said it to the person I was watching this film with; something to the effect of I bet we don't find out what happens next? The person agreed with me.

I still found it incredibly annoying, because throughout this film we have narration from Howard Wakefield/Cranston, discussing things with us or himself and playing these mental images over in his head of how things could go which a very small amount are designed to be comical and not forgetting this film roughly goes on for 106 minutes and the pacing makes this film feel much longer than what it is; this isn't on Cranston [I will discuss him later.] But it is what it is I wanted to see a rounder ending in a word "Satisfying." But in fairness and balance may be as we the viewers have been through this journey with Howard Wakefield/Cranston and consequently his family, maybe it is up to us the viewers to fill in the missing gap are they going to be happy to see him? Are they going to reject him? Are they going to be angry if he tells them the truth? Or possibly another possibility will come to light [I am trying not to give too much of the film away,] but I think you get my point. But now I have been fair, I can still tell you I want or wanted a better payoff that is for sure and whilst I'm thinking about it there isn't much of a police investigation to find Howard Wakefield/Cranston [I know if they did this; this would be much of a film and on top of that we don't know how much time has past through this whole experience; Is it like six months or more?] .

Moving on; this is a master class of a performance from Bryan Cranston as Howard Wakefield; as he spends like roughly 88% of this film on his own or at minimum keeping himself to himself so it is very much down to him if this film succeeds or fails, so as Howard Wakefield, he is a devious unlikable character, we the viewers understand he learns from this experience as I have already indicated, but because of the question-mark ending style, we never really get to see him deal with the repercussions and show more remorse for not only this situation but other situations or anything like this. From an overview perspective the other characters, performances and on-screen chemistry with or without Howard Wakefield/Cranston is good.

There are some great comical moments where Howard Wakefield/Cranston is doing some voices to go with these scenes or voices to go over other conversations going on potentially somewhere else [quick description; you know when a comedian has been given footage and what they have to do is make voices and conversations to fit what could be being said it is like that.]

Art: this ranges from scenes looking eye-catching for one example the moon at night or Howard Wakefield/Cranston singing a little or a little bit of Diana Wakefield's ballet class [portrayed by Jennifer Garner.]

This film receives: 7/10, this film is good; it was going to get given full marks, but as I have made it very clear the closing question mark style ending just really annoyed me, I am just wondering if this film should be turned into a theatre play; with the ending of this film the way it is; in hindsight it feels much better suited for an onstage play instead. This film has either Won an Award or has been Nominated for another Award; Won Hamptons International Film Festival 2016; Tangerine Entertainment Juice Award; Robin Swicord. Nominated California on Location Awards 2016; COLA Location Professional of the Year - Independent Feature Film Dan Cooley Mockingbird Pictures, but strangely no Awards for Bryan Cranston's performance as Howard Wakefield which is just wrong. The only last thing I can really say is; if there are any fans of Bryan Cranston out there in Internet land take a look at this film.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe [Season 2,] Episode 70: Fisto's Forest by AverageMansReviews

Review Time:

5 things about this episode

Warning: there are flashing effects/other effects/transformation/environment

Fisto's Back story: Storyline & Character: [Character developments of Fisto:] these two components go hand-in-hand here; these are good. Now to put a little bit more substance here without giving too much away this episode comes from the perspective of Fisto storyteller and his story that he tells this young boy or this character's official character name is Peasant boy; this story becomes this episode Storyline

Dig: we have Cringer/Battle Cat coming up with the idea to dig a route out of this dangerous situation for the rest of these characters and of course himself, so we see Cringer/Battle Cat beginning digging down and down and down with these other characters dropping down into this route whilst is busy swiping/cutting at these tree branches that are quick regenerating, well that is Orko's magic working for you, reliable as ever Not! Cringer/Battle Cat we see this hole being created as Cringer/Battle Cat tunnelling his way up and through to the surface with these characters behind him and Prince Adam/He-Man is the last one to escape these in growing branches by using this hole/tunnel; this is highly creative Action & Art going hand-in-hand here as well.

This episode receives: 8/10, this episode is excellent; after everything is said and done this episode finds itself at this mark

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe [Season 2,] Episode 69: The Gamesman by AverageMansReviews

Review Time:

5 things about this episode

Warning: there are flashing effects/other effects/transformation

Moral message: "Don't judge what people look like on the outside it is what is inside that counts."

King Randor vs. Lord Todd: they are playing a version of Chess Eternia style with the same black-and-white board, but these Chess pieces are alive and very unique for one example; we have this miniature Tyrannosaurus rex fulfilling its move on the board; imaginative Art and good Action going hand-in-hand here.

Hover Robots: Characters; they are a gigantic Easter egg and yes I had to go and do some research just because I couldn't remember their name and just to make sure I was seeing what I was seeing; this is excellent.

This episode receives: 9/10, this episode is excellent; yes once again this episode has lots to offer.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe [Season 2,] Episode 68: Day of the Machines by AverageMansReviews

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe [Season 2,] Episode 68: Day of the Machines by AverageMansReviews

Review Time:

5 things about this episode

Warning: there are flashing effects/other effects/transformation/animal cruelty.

Storyline/Moral message: it is excellent, but it has to be said compared to what it becomes the beginning in comparison is a little bit slow and the Moral message is:"Now we all make mistakes and we shouldn't be afraid to admit to them and when they aren't don't waste precious time putting the blame somewhere else, just do what you can to make things right."

The second part of this Moral message is clearly absolutely garbage and it is/was [this is speculation on my part,] but this was quite possibly was designed to make parents lives easier having children take responsibility for things that were not their fault, this is/was a terrible moral/advice to give to children.

Because just based on this episode for an example Duncan/Duncan is in summary in a high ranking position in short the right-hand man to King Randor and Queen Marlena and not forgetting the really tiny; ever so grain of salt detail really that he is a fully grown adult so based on these two points he should take responsibility even though this situation may or may not have been his fault [I am trying not to give too much away,] hence why I said this is/was a terrible moral/advice to give children, now if they had said basically "If something goes wrong, try to fix it or if you can't there is no shame in asking for help from somebody." Or "if you fail at something don't give up; try and try again but if you fail at it you know you've tried your best and that is as much as anyone can give." These two examples are much better suitable for young children and up.

Remote-control computer grid cube memory prison: we have Action and Art going hand-in-hand there is this incredibly tiny Duncan/Man-At-Arms inside this main computer for the Royal Palace of Eternia which controls everything which has a computer chip in it. So in this small sequence; Duncan/Man-At-Arms has to run through this grid without basically getting in close proximity to these memory cubes which unfortunately he is not successful and the Art is imaginative as we have as I have already said this incredibly tiny Duncan/Man-At-Arms looking over this situation before coming up with a course of action [in a nutshell throughout roughly speaking a lot of this episode we have this perspective of what is usually tiny to us is now noticeably larger compared to what they were; a world within a world.]

This episode receives: 8/10, this episode is excellent; it has lots to offer its viewers in one way or another

Wasted: Samoa Joe on the WWE Main Roster by AverageMansReviews

Wasted: Samoa Joe on the WWE Main Roster by AverageMansReviews

Where do I start?: On this fact I was working on other content and this headline broke that Samoa Joe has been released from his WWE contract on my side of the world for Thursday 15/04/2021 and there have been many others at this point it looks like the WWE are doing their annual housecleaning once again, where I have to say there are some big names on this list and some others which are not surprising.

But for now I will focus on Samoa Joe; let me reassure you WWE Universe [Main Roster;] you never ever, never ever, never ever got to see what he could fully bring to the table, yes I may not watch much of WWE/NXT content, but I knew he was making the right sounds and his standard of sounds down on NXT.

I used to watch him on TNA [Total Nonstop Action,] but nowadays it is called Impact Wrestling and he was one of the guys that you tuned into watch Face or Heel or maybe something in between he can do it all with an excellent standard of promos, it has to be said I haven't heard a promo from him for a very long time, but once you have it you never lose it.

On one hand this is excellent news for Joe, because his talents were being wasted and yes I am aware whilst he has been on the Main Roster, he has been injury prone which let's be honest as soon as Mr. McMahon thinks that of anyone of any gender, it is very difficult to change his mind unless there is something solid you can point out to him like this performer hasn't significantly been injured for some time, but then again it is of what we have heard throughout the years very difficult to keep up with Mr. McMahon's changes of mind on any subject or opinion and on the other hand it is pure arrogance by the WWE to release him, it tells everyone by their actions "We don't see him as an asset or a threat to us if he goes to another wrestling company and rebuilds his career consequently putting butts in seats and putting eyes on their product."

I can see Joe heading to AEW [All Elite Wrestling] and I wouldn't say no to this in fact I would be extremely delighted with this acquisition, in fact I know I'm going to get some heat for this; but WWE fans better get used to seeing Ex-WWE stars turning up at AEW and no it won't be WCW 2.0 again, because the fact that the names I will be saying here just for some examples are still young and I am not saying AEW will sign any of these or all of these, but just based on their age why wouldn't they?[Not forgetting the WWE Main Roster seems to forget that a lot of, but not all wrestlers have over this modern era some dealings with the WWE, because they have pretty much monopolized the wrestling industry for a long time to a certain extent and even more so if or when NXT: India becomes up and running, so it is going to be inevitable a heavy percentage will have the tagline an Ex-WWE talent or others, so basically there is no point bringing this up, In a derogatory manner, because you're just stating a fact that everyone knows and will have to get used to.] But I digress; Billie Kay [31,] Peyton Royce [28,] Chelsea Green [30, I know like a grain of salt about her, of what I have heard she can wrestle and like Joe she has had injuries consequently being seen as injury prone by Mr. McMahon,] Mickie James [41, I know she is at the veteran stage of her career, but why wouldn't you sign her for an experienced head in the women's locker room, Zelina Vega [30, I know her release was for her breaking the new third-party rules and regulations but she was still released,] Samoa Joe [42, for the same reason as James] and Bo Dallas [30, this one may seem like a strange name on this list; it is simply because with Dallas I would take a risk on somebody that has been outside of a wrestling ring for as long as he has and just say to him "Go and prove yourself again and show everyone what you have to offer."Basically put a fire up his posterior, hungry people or people wanting to bring something to the table is what I want to see AEW do, which when they bring people in this seems to be the way they like to do things anyway.

Either way they could go to AEW or another wrestling promotion and end up still working for multiple wrestling promotions [full disclosure I know some wrestling promotions have a working relationship, but I don't know who is fully in this circle or partly in this circle or not in the circle; I have a rough idea but that is about it.] But my point here is why would you give your competition this abundance of talent which as I have already shown is far from their veteran stages of their career on the average, in fact it would be quicker just to say most of these are just getting started.

But back onto Joe; I am excited to see where he goes next, as I have already illustrated I know what he can bring to the table and he is just a no nonsense wrestler which can put on fantastic matches, honestly if you have never seen any of his work in TNA, go and watch it and you will see what I'm talking about and for you Main Roster fans of WWE; you will what Mr. McMahon has foolishly released back onto the wrestling industry as a whole.

So there is only a little bit more for me to cover I have finished this content on the Friday 16/04/2021 and from a reliable source there will be more releases today from the WWE, so on looking up the WWE's next Pay-Per-View on Sunday 16/05/2021 WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2021 [yes this is its real name I am not making this up.] Why don't they just go with WWE Releases Backlash 2021, because this would be an apt name; you see either way they will get backlash in some form, from their fan base/WWE Universe or these releases go and make it big somewhere else consequently taking eyes off their product, consequently probably having the TV Networks or investors asking questions.

Tangerine 2015 by AverageMansReviews

Tangerine 2015 by AverageMansReviews

Review Time

Warning/Disclaimer: there is flashing effects/colourful effects/transgender component/sexual component/vomiting/drugs/human waste and there is adult content in this review. Disclaimer I am not a medical professional, this will make better sense in the final section and it is just to cover my back.

Storyline: it has been designed to follow some of these characters/performers in a day and a night of their lives [Christmas Eve;] Sin-Dee/Rodriguez, Alexandra/Taylor and Razmik/Karagulian, these are your main characters/performers; yes there will be some occasions where they are in the same narrative in one way or another or all three will be. The pacing and the switches of narratives are easy-to-follow, you know they know what they are doing and they stick to that. But however I really, really don't like the background music for a heavy amount of the time and when I say a heavy amount of the time we are looking at 90% of the time, don't get me wrong there are a very small amount of occasions where it is at minimum a positive; for one example it is where there is classical music being played in the background, it is so much more better than the background music which is loud and noisy and really off-putting, I will discuss the background music again later on in this review.

Art: [Visually] we have some art on this wall; you won't be able to miss it; it is very eye-catching and noticeable as Sin-Dee/Rodriguez and Alexandra/Taylor are walking passed it and they stop to talk to some other characters/performers; this art is in the background. Moving on we have these blue skies with thin clouds and later on these orange skies and sun at some point as the day is coming to a close; this is speculation/an educated guess on my part, I am guessing this is why this film has the title it does of Tangerine based on this sky being this colour. [Sound] Alexandra/Taylor sings at this Club [Mary's;] on either the visual or sound this is good.

Action: in short for another example; without giving too much away Sin-Dee/Rodriguez with and without Alexandra/Taylor is trying to track down her fiancé and pimp Chester/Ransone or Dinah/O'Hagan whichever one comes first she wants both of them.

Characters/Performances: this is where I may get some backlash [I am not going to say anything unpleasant, but addressing things of this nature; I run the risk of getting some backlash, it is the way of the Internet Universe.] There are quite a few prostitutes of female and transgender in this film, I am an open-minded individual so I didn't notice that these women such as Sin-Dee/Rodriguez and Alexandra/Taylor were transgender until the final stages of this project, so I laugh a little when Ashken/Tumanian [Razmik's mother-in-law] says on her mobile your husband is with gay prostitutes"[to her daughter and Razmik's wife Yeva/Nersisyan because I was under the impression she was making an angry/comical comment about the lack of boobs, but she wasn't she was making reference to their gender, then later on in the film on discovering they were transgender I felt bad for previously having a little laugh at the time. Because yes I am open-minded so sometimes depending on the person and situation I just see the person as they want to be seen and yes there were signs that in a film sense there was a transgender component, now thinking about it, but like I have said I didn't pick up on it until later on.

Now back to the background music there is plenty of evidence to suggest that the background music at the very least now and again is meant to convey or reinforce how  Sin-Dee/Rodriguez is feeling at that time, I am just trying to put an alternative perspective on things, as I said I don't like it, but from this perspective I get it, if that is its intended purpose and this goes for the background music which is a positive as well.

Performances; they are what they are; you will understand the chemistry on screen it does what it is designed to do also, on looking up this film I found out; Kitana Kiki Rodriguez and Mya Taylor as Alexandra has Won or has been Nominated for some Awards; Won Film Independent Spirit Awards 2016; Independent Spirit Award; Best Supporting Female and Dublin Film Critics Circle Awards 2015; DFCC Breakthrough Artist - International; Kitana Kiki Rodriguez & Mya Taylor Tied with [Daisy Ridley for Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens 2015.] Austin Film Critics Association 2015; Breakthrough Artist Award and Black Reel Awards 2016; Black Reel; Outstanding Breakthrough Performance, Female Kitana Kiki Rodriguez and somehow Black Reel Awards 2016; Black Reel; Outstanding Breakthrough Performance, Female Mya Taylor [these are two separate Awards here.]

But on reflection Mya Taylor is the only main character/performer which is someone you can get along with, yes she is a prostitute but she has this feel and look to her that she is just doing this, because she is waiting for somebody to discover her as a singer.

Comedy: this film apparently is meant to be a comedy or/and to make sure I am being fair I will stretch the parameters and interpreted as a dark comedy. But however this is not the case with this project, I mean there is enough at this Shop [Donut Time] and Chester's place of business dealings to say this is comical with the chaos with all these characters/performers and I have already given you one example of this sequence already in this review; but for the rest of it; it isn't comical.

This film receives: 1/10, this film is poor; yes this film does have some good elements to it, but this project has short, very short moments of smoothly moving followed by noise and irritation, but then again what do I know when all together this film has Won 25 Awards [including GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics 2016; Dorian Award; Unsung Film of the Year, not forgetting the ones I have also mentioned]  and been Nominated for 43 Awards [including GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics 2016; Dorian Award; Director of the Year Sean Baker and Award LGBTQ Film of the Year, likewise including the ones I have also mentioned in this review as well.]

I do wonder when if at all they will ever make prostitution legal and run it as a fair, safe and clean business, because as far as I'm aware which means I could be absolutely wrong, you have the street walkers which that is hardly safe or other avenues which are way too expensive and still may not be safe. I am just bringing this up because this film is based on prostitution and it is 2021, I am a long-term single person [when this was first dictated,] everyone that knows me as things stand I will not purchase sex, because I am a nice guy, I know where I stand and what people think of me let's just say I am the last chosen or not at all and I have enough things working against me or in my history but for two examples I am disabled and I have a mental health illness, so telling someone new this and other things like I have paid for sex, may be too much for the new person to take and I don't lie. Disclaimer: but also I am aware sexual release is not only physically healthy for me it also has a positive impact on my mental health as well and I can hear some of you say "Sex is not important." I would like to respond by saying "That is your opinion and you are welcome to it. I am clearly talking about sex on a deeper and beneficial level, so don't be shallow and yes it won't change the fact are my disability or mental illness, but it lifts my mood and just makes things easier [providing I am with a good and fun person.]
